This is a genuine 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C CSX#4853. THIS IS NOT A KIT CAR. The basic "roller", a 2 door fiberglass roadster, was built by Carroll Shelby's Shelby Automobiles, Inc. located in Las Vegas. Like the original, this car has a two rail ladder frame and a "birdcage" metal tubing body frame. The engine and transmission were professionally installed by a Master Mechanic at Park Place Ltd. in Seattle, and delivered in September 2007. The engine is a Roush SFRE 451 cubic inch with a Shelby aluminum block, Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition and a Bell housing and scatter-shield. The engine produces 455 horsepower. The Cobra has a Tremec TKO 600 series transmission and a McLeod clutch. It also has dual silver ceramic side pipes. The interior has leather seats, dash and door side map pockets. It is fitted with racing lap belts and shoulder harnesses. The car is fully carpeted in black including the trunk. Other features include: * Stainless quick lifts front and rear, and aluminum knock-off wheels * Defroster, heater, glove box, tonneau cover and original style 15" wood and metal rim steering wheel * Windshield wipers, side wind wings and chrome roll bar * Tinted sun visors and side mirror (not installed) * Comes with a manufacturer's statement of origin signed by Carroll Shelby No expense was spared in outfitting this genuine Cobra. This vehicle, with only one owner, has been professionally serviced approximately every 1,500 miles. It has never been in an accident or raced, and softly driven mostly on Lake Shore Drive (45 mph) here in Chicago. No warranty; sold "as is."
