1985 Volvo 760 GLE Wagon, former diesel,now a true sleeper hot rod with nicely built Chevy 350! this car was professionall built in the late 1990's. i have a folder of slips documenting over 30k had been spent on the build. the car is a rust free AZ car, the body/floors/frame are not rotted at all, there are some spots on the roof of surface rust. and on the rubber pumper behind the drivers wheel some paint has blistered off, but no rust!,, the body is EXTREMELY nice. i have never seen one of these cars so clean. it is stock looking on the outside, and has nice Hella fog lights. the interior is also in amazingly nice condition. black leather seats, drivers is heated,the only flaw inside is the headliner is kinda ratty, has a manual sunroof, has a 5 point restraint racing harness for the driver that unclips and tucks out of sight when not at the track. the dash is fully custom with Intellitronix digital gauges, has a nice aftermarket CD player and speakers along with a bass tube in the trunk. has a MOMO steering wheel. the suspension has all been done with IPD sways front and rear, Bilstein shocks front and rear, braided stainless brake lines, front brakes have been upgraded to dual piston calipers. newer turbo wheels with brand new Michelin tires. the rear end was rebuilt with a brand new posi unit and 3.73 gears. the engine is a 350, GM performance steel crank (1 pc seal), JE/SRP pistons part #140678, Edelbrock performer RPM aluminum heads that have been ported., roller rockers,fluidamper balancer, Milodon racing oil pan,Edelbrock performer RPM intake, Holley 750cfm carb, MSD 6AL ignition,Edelbrock high flow water pump, Griffen aluminum radiator with dual flex-a-lite electric fans. (never has run hot), high output alternator. March billet serpentine pulleys, it has A/C but it needs to be charged. has hooker headers into a fully custom 2.5" stainless steel TIG welded exhaust. it is true dual all the way back and has dual high flow cats, a resanator and a edelbrock muffler with Corsa tips mounted in a stock location so it looks almost factory from the outside. the exhaust made from all mandrel bends, nothing is crush bent. the fuel system consists of an in tank Walboro 255lph pump, -6AN feed line to a Mallory regulator(return sytle), it also has a second billet regulator to bring the pressure down further(the walboro pump was used when the car was fuel injected and it never got swapped for a lower pressure pump). the transmission is a Corvette ZF 6speed with a Hurst shifter, shifts very nicely. I have tried to list all the highlights of the car, pretty much everything that could be replaced or upgraded has been replaced or upgraded, everywhere you look you will find something aftermarket or custom made. from the headlights to the halogen reverse lights, this was not a backyard build, it was professionally done and comes with the slips to back it up. This is a VERY VERY fun car to drive, it has a nice throaty rumble that causes confusion in people LOL it handles well, drives straight and safe on the highway, everything works! all lights, e brake, heated seat, even the power antenna. it is an excellent car to take the kids to soccer in or go to the track and watch some jaws drop! I dont HAVE to sell this and i dont really want to, but at the same time it would be nice to pay off my credit card. so i am starting the auction at a very reasonable price. you could fly in and drive this home, I dont forsee any issues with it, i have been driving it daily and will continue to do so until the auction ends. it has never left me stranded and i dont see anything that needs attention either. I am sure i am forgetting things so please ask any questions in advance, local inspections are welcome! ********I HAVE GOTTEN FLOODED WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR, WITH OVER 100 WATCHERS ON THIS AUCTION ALREADY THIS CAR WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER! I went for a 50 mile drive today and tried to make note of any things that i noticed about the car. the speedometer does not read correctly. it has a feature to re-calibrate it but i have not had time to play with it, i think the timing could stand to be kicked back a couple degrees and maybe retune the carb. everything works and the car drives fine but this is an old school hot hod. If you have no mechanical ability and do not understand what it is like to own a carburated v8 car then perhaps this is not a vehicle for you. I am not trying to scare anyone or talk you out of buying it, BUT, it will never be as refined as your new Camry, it is loud, obnoxious, and its all business. Your wife or girlfriend will likely hate to ride in it, kids will be afraid of it etc. for a car guy this is the norm, but please understand what you are getting here, its not for everyone, its best suited for a fellow gearhead who knows how to take care of it any enjoys to tinker with it. the HP figure is estimated based on the parts of the engine, similar edelbrock and holley packages make the same 425-450HP so there is no reason why this one shouldnt be in that same range. I did not build this car, i have done my absolute best to describe every detail, but everyone is different in their opinions. my listing a a full description and plenty of high res photos (which is better than most private sellers here on ebay), I am not hiding anything, local inspections are welcomed! On Apr-12-12 at 10:28:43 PDT, seller added the following information: ****** I noticed yesterday that when driving with the windows down and around sharp corners i could hear the rear end chattering. This is a common thing when the posi additive in the rear is low. so keep in mind it will need it have posi additive added.(i would just drain all the fluid and change it anyway with a fesh bottle of posi lube) does not act up or make any other noises, just sharp corners. if you google "rear end chatter around turns" you will find more info on what is happening, not a big deal. thx*********
