Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Up for sale is my 98 M3 Sedan, 5-speed, Arctic Silver/Black Interior, 197k miles. Clear Title in hand, VIN – WBSCD0324WEE12735Car is located in Dallas, PA This is a great running enthusiast owned M3 with lots of new parts. Since I owned it I’ve replaced the transmission, clutch, cooling system, head gasket, VANOS, suspension, etc. Details are found below. Don’t let the mileage fool you, it’s really a great running car. Everything works great; AC blows cold, heat blows hot, etc. The reason I’m selling is that I bought a 2004 M3 and don’t need this anymore. The interior is in very nice overall condition, I’d say 8.5/10. No tears in the seats, even the DS bolster hardly shows wear. The center vent is cracked and the fabric on the sunroof card is off (I do have another very nice card that I’ll include I just haven’t gotten around to replacing it).The exterior is not perfect, but not too bad either considering the mileage; I’d say 6/10 to be safe. There is a dent in the DS rear corner and it does have some rock chips in the front and a few small scratches. There is also some very minor damage from hail. It’s really hardly noticeable; I just want to be as honest as possible. A little history – I bought the car in 10/08 with a bad auto trans. I did an auto-to-manual swap using parts from my previous M3 that I had totaled. There is a trans light on due to the swap. I tried to reprogram to get this off with no luck. There is also two CEL errors: CAN bus timeout – from the swap and AfterCat O2 Heater – This is just stating that the O2 sensor isn’t warming up quickly enough. It doesn’t affect drivability so I never bothered replacing the O2 sensor. The state inspection expired at the end of March. Rear tires will need to be replaced to pass. The trans grinds a little when shifting quickly from 3rd to 4th. It really isn’t that bad, you just need to shift a little slowly. It never bothered me so I never looked into it. I just replaced the head gasket and cooling system and rebuilt the VANOS. The car did NOT overheat; the head gasket blew through between cylinders 5 and 6, so it was just a loss of compression. Here is a list of the maintenance/upgrades that I did with the current mileage on the item:In total, I put over $5k just in parts into it since I owned it.
