Hello! I plan on giving you every detail on this vehicle and the current restoration so please read to its entirety to ensure an accurate description. This 1974 Triumph is 85% done with an entire mechanical and aesthetical restoration. I have poured countless time and money into this car for the past 2 years. I am very methodical with my work and can promise the work done was done correctly. Unfortunatly I am forced to sell off a few things as we are expecting a new member in our family. I believe this would make a wonderful father - son project as it is almost complete and easy to work on. THE ENGINE - This car has an original 36,xxx mile 1500 which ran perfect up untill the resto. It was then put on an engine stand where all the gaskets, seals, and thrust washers were replaced by an ASE master technician here in Ocala Fl. New water pump and alternator where also fitted at this time. The stromberg carb was rebuilt along with all new tune- up parts. ie: plugs ,cap, points,wires etc. I also purchased a pace setter aftermarket exhaust header at this time. New coil, starter selonoid, relays, etc. THE TRANSMISSION / DRIVELINE - The transmission used was a stronger single rail type from a '76 Spitfire. No grinds or sychro problems. The flywheel was resurfaced and a Brand new Borg and Beck 3 peice clutch kit was installed. The driveshaft was fitted with new u-joints and reballanced at Florida Powertrain. New clutch master and clutch slave cylinders. THE BRAKES / SUSPENSION - All brakes were replaced including rebuilt calipers, NEW pads,shoes,cylinders,hoses,hardware, brake master cylinder etc. The rear has a NEW transverse leaf spring. The front has NEW shocks, sport springs, ball joints, tie rod ends, gear bellows, rack mounts/bushings, sway links/bushings, sway mounts, and all new fasteners. (Mostly Stainless) THE BODY - The whole car was chemically stripped.(engine bay sandblasted) The bare metal was then treated and sealed. Finally primed in white and finished in Dupont Chromabase and Chromaclear. (Mimossa Yellow) I had the bodyshop replace and metal that had body filler in it. Bought new from Moss Motors were the LR quarter, RH door skin, Floor pans, and battery box. (over 1k in metal) The hood is not yet painted as I found a better one than was brought the to body shop. I will include the paint with the car so you can get this taken care of. The car also needs wetsanded if desired. The interior and trunk were done in Trim Black for durability and rust prevention. The chrome on the bumpers is 7/10 and most trim is 8/10. All interior and trim has been left inside and temp controlled. You will also recieve u.k spec front bumper covers. THE INTERIOR - The door panals, dash, rear finish panals are all in "like new" condition and were restored about a year before the car was taken of the road. You will need to buy a carpet set from victoria british to have a complete interior. The car is 100% complete with the exception of that interior item. The gauges are all in perfect condition (pictures do not do justice). The top is perfect.Sound deadening also installed. New abs plastic trans tunnel. IN SUMMERY - They're COUNTLESS new items for this car, please ask and refer to the detailed pictures if you have ANY questions.
