Vehicle Detail

Hello. This is a 1966 Ford Falcon Sport Coupe with a 200 cubic inch 6 cylinder and an automatic transmission. I collect and refurbish mostly 70's era Ford products. I bought several cars recently and this was among those, and since it isn't my "flavor", I am hoping to pass on a great deal to someone who is more into the 60's era Fords. Here is what I know. The previous owner had the car for many years, and was in the process of fixing it up a little, when one day he was unaware that he didn't have it in "Park" and it rolled out the garage with the wheels turned a bit and it caught the RF fender on the way out. That's when he became frustrated and walked away from it. There it sat for the next 2 years in the garage (heated) until he decided to let it go. A fresh battery was all it needed to get started, and I drove it home (1 mile away). I did take some time to look it over, change the oil, and take it for a drive of about 5 miles total, and here is what I can tell you. The car is very solid. There are no rust holes in the floors or trunk at all (see pics). The shocks, brakes, much of the front end parts, exhaust, and tires are near new. The interior is not all tore up, however does look it's age but is very presentable. The front fender would need fixed or replaced, and then I would paint the blue. The white paint on the top looks fine. The wheels are actual Shelby aluminum slots. They have "Shelby 500" cast into them on the inside, and the tires are Firestone Firehawks with 90%+ tread left. The car drives well, however it does pull to the left a little when braking. The carb seems to run a little rich and could probably use a going through. Once I had it running awhile and took it for the drive, when I got back I notice a small coolant leak from the water pump, so it will need one of those for sure. For these reasons the car would need to be picked up with a trailer or shipped. Overall, this is a great little car that with a little tlc will make a great classic driver. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I have clear title in hand ready for transfer. Shipping is the buyers expense, however I will be happy to work with your shipper for pick-up. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction close, and full payment via certified funds within 3 days. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
