Up for grabs is this RARE 1965 Dodge Polara 500 barn find! Car is equipped with what seems to be a matching numbers 383 engine, 4 spd trans. with HURST shifter, and factory strong 8 3/4 rear end. About the only thing that i can see that might not be original is the 4 barrel carb or dual snorkel air cleaner because the snorkel doesn't fit and of course a new battery. It runs, steers, shifts and breaks great but it does need a carb rebuilt cuz car is running little rich. Body- Is in great shape and almost lazer straight with the exception of some tiny dents in the drivers side fender/rear quarter by molding and hood lip. Honestly nothing major so please refer to pics. Rust- no rust to be found anywhere in the exterior sheet metal, floors pans (surface rust only), trunk pan, doors, trunk channel, door jambs, cowl area, or frame rails. Its probably the cleanest MOPAR i have dealt with. Bumpers are rough and do need re chroming due to a front fender bender and the rear due to not using the jack properly. Interior- Original Light blue bucket seat interior with center console is rough and weathered but its all there! Just needs a face lift. Glass- Is in good shape with the exception of the front windshield. Its cracked. Last but not least car sits on decent rolling tires on factory steel wheels. Clear TEXAS title in hand. So if you have been looking for that rare mopar to restore and add to your collection or just always wanted have something different? Then look no further because this definitely it.. I had a gentlemen inspect the car and told me that 1) Engines pad has letter A = 383 period correct engine for '65 2) Transmission is a 833 4 spd with trunion output shaft which period correct for '65. 3) And the original Owner transferred the title to her husband name.
