Vehicle Detail
Up for re-sale sale is my trusty 1990 GMC Sierra SL 4x4 turbodiesel dually. Someone bought this on ebay last week and failed to follow through or even look at the truck. Please guys, only bid if you intend to own the truck. The lucky winner will have a lot of truck for short money. I have absolute confidence that the buyer can pick this truck up and put it to work right away or drive it across the country with no troubles. This love this truck. It is an amazing, unapologetic freak of power - a true 4x4 muscle truck - and really fun to drive. I can't go to the grocery store or gas station without someone asking about it or pulling alongside to rev their engine. It will tow or carry just about anything you can attach to it. The truck features a high output 6.5 liter turbo deisel with just 80,000 miles on it. If you know these trucks, they originally came with a 6.2. I got this from a diesel mechanic who installed a brand new GM high output 6.5l and a new 3spd high torque transmission. It runs like new. The three speed transmission shifts as it should. The 4x4 works as it should as do high and low gears. Turbo works as it should. There are about 265,000 miles on the body. The mechanic must have also put some kind of performance chip in as well because I have three 6.5l diesel trucks and this one has substantially more power than the others. This truck runs beautifully and there are no mechanical issues whatsoever. The mechanic and I spared no expense keeping this thing in top shape and it shows. I've since put new new brake calipers and shoes in the front and had the drums redone in the back - it stops on a dime. There are 4 newer coopers tires on the rear with 80% or more tread left. The fronts have about 10,000 miles or so life left in em. It comes with a full size spare. This truck doesn't use a drop of oil and has no leaks. The exhaust is clamped in a few spots but it works good and sounds great. As the pictures show, the body is in pretty good condition for its age. There are no significant rust issues underneath typical of most trucks this age. The paint is pretty good but there are chips and scrapes typical of working trucks. The tailgate has a few dents and bruises. Other items of interest on the truck are: A new kenwood cd stereo system w/ ipod/mp3 hookups, six speakers with high, mid, and bazooka tube bass and amplifier. You can either listen to theater quality sound or out-thump the teenagers as you desire. There are also alcoa aluminum rims that look good but could use a polish. There is a meyer plow frame on the front. This truck should appeal to a wide array of buyers. It would make a great hauler, plow truck, work truck, or muscle toy. Whatever your use, as long as you maintain it like I have you can count on it to work well for you for many years to come. Thank you for looking. This is a no reserve auction. Please don't hesitate to ask questions or schedule a preview. Cash at pickup is strongly preferred. Buyer will get a clean CT title and a bill of sale. There are no warrantees.
