This 1979 VW Bug Convertible is a beauty, you don't find these in this fine condition very often!!! We are the 2nd owners of this VW Bug Convertible, purchased from the original owner 9 years ago. We drove to Terre Haute, Indiana and drove it home to Joplin, Missouri. The car has it's original Mars Red exterior paint job with only minor paint chips from road driving. The first owner covered the original seats, which were in great condition, with leather. Original owner always garaged this car and never drove it in the winter. The same goes for us as well. The original convertible top is beige and is in excellent condition, no rips or tears. Also includes the convertible boot cover which is in great condition and a car cover that is like new.This car has an engine block heater and a factory installed gas auxiliary heater located in the front trunk up by the dash. The car runs great and doesn't need any mechanical work that we are aware of. We have the original vehicle manual and original window sticker that we have laminated for protective purposes. This car does not have air conditioning. The car came to us with a Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette player. Both the radio and cassette player work great.
