Ford Motor Company put one VIN on each inner fender, one visible on the driver's side from above and the Passenger's side from below or if you unbolted the fender you could see it under the cutaway section you see above. Obviously the driver's side VIN would normally be seen in the picture below, but sometime in the past the front section of the inner fender was replaced. Hence the reason for the cutaway on the passenger's side. For this reason, there is also a state issued VIN tag on the door jam near the hinges on the driver's side door. All VINs Match!
