This VW Thing Is pretty much all original, I have owned it since 2000, the previous owner had it since 1975. I don't what the actual milage is,(ACTUAL MILAGE IS UNKNOWN) the Old guy I bought it from, may have changed the odometer, (there was an extra one in the box of stuff he gave me along with the car). I used this car to pull behind a motor home a few times a year up until 2003, after that, just drove it here and there. As you can see in the pictures, it is in good condition, it runs good, starts right up, goes about 65 to 70 mph at top speed, shifts nicely, it's a 1973 Thing, I have done no work to this car other then Brakes,Oil,and kept it clean and waxed. What doesn't work; Parking brake slips, Glove box doesn't lock, Left front turn signal light does not flash,Windsheild wipers stopped working last year, the Heater maybe works maybe not( I have an extra one of thoes too),in the boxes of parts you see in the pictures go with the car, the back window plastic is oxidized, the top is in good condition,with one small hole as shown in the pictures, the swing bars on the back of the car are to carry two 5 gallon gas tanks that somehow attach to that, the other pieces are in the boxes of stuff, the Old guy I bought the car from never demonstrated how to set it up, and did not include the gas tanks, and I never had a need, maybe could turn it into a bike rack instead. Overall the body is in good condition, a few bumps and dings here and there, the paint is origonal and still holds quite a shine, what you see... is what you get, it's a 1973 Thing from 1973. The Owner's Manual is in the glove box, and the caps that strap over the convertible arms that stick out when the top is down are in the car as well, floor mats and front Bra are included, the pull bar does come off, its just bolted to the front bumper, and the front rubber bumper guards are in the boxes of stuff too.
