You are bidding on a 1953 Dodge M37 weapons carrier. It runs and drives and has little to no rust. The body, bed and cab are sound. Tires are good. There are a couple spots of rust on the hood right in front of the windshield and a spot below driver's side headlight. It is mostly original except for the altenator. It has good glass all the way around as you can see in the pictures. It still has it's original 24 volt system. It starts easy and the engine runs smooth. I bought it in Colorado where it was used as a fire support vehicle. It comes with a new top and all the parts you see in the picture. I run it regularly and otherwise keep it garaged all the time. Brake lines need to be recharged. Hand brake works fine. Vehicle is registered in Washington with title pending this August. When I entered the Army in 1973 the M37 series vehicles, Jeeps and dueces were our main stay vehicles. They were great, dependable vehicles and are no less today. I always wanted to own an M37 one day because it is much like a conventional truck but much safer and versitile than a jeep, and more practicle than a duece. Now I own two M37s and can restore only one. These are very tough, work horse, go anywhere four wheel drives. When you finish restoring it you'll want to drive it all the time like I do, I drive my other M37 to school where I teach and it is always the center of attention of kids and adults alike; and it's only partially restored! There are lots of NOS and after market parts available for the M37 series of vehicles and I've found the prices pretty reasonable when you do a little comparison shopping. I can deliver this truck to you if you live within 100 miles of here, the greater Seattle/Portland area, for a dollar a mile. Payment in full is required before delivery can be made.
