Up for auction is my 1990 Ford Ranger. I have been driving this truck everyday back and forth from work(about 70 miles round trip) for the past year, it runs great with a very strong motor. The transmission shifts very well, all gears work perfectly as well as reverse. However, I believe that a transmission mount is broken and I say this because when driving the truck at around 65mph it has a shimmy through the stick shifter and almost feels as If the Transmission is not mounted as solid as it should be, like I said though, this truck runs great and all gears shift perfect. While driving at 65mph the shimmy goes away as soon as the clutch is pressed. The shimmy seems to be due to the rpm's from the motor/trans slightly vibrating the transmission thus causing the shimmy. I have not had this issue looked at professionally, but as far as I can tell it seems to be trans mounts and not gear issues. It has newer tires(about 4 months old), the truck runs straight down the road. The brakes seem to have plenty of life left, there is no puls when braking and the truck does not pull to one side when braking. It has some rust over the finders and a little here and there on the body(see photos). Under the truck seems to be solid, I put a new muffler on the truck but the exhaust pipe could be replaced in the near future. Everything on this truck works, all turn signals, lights, gauges, dome light(does not come on when door is opened though, must manually turn on). The only thing that is not in working order is the windshield washer fluid, I think the rubber line needs replaced. Overall this is a great work truck and comes with the black tool box(no key) and hitch that has wiring harness(wireing harness works perfect). New shocks, and complete tuneup on this truck about 10 months ago, all new spark plugs, plug wires, filters(including fuel). Battery is strong! Truck starts and runs great in VERY cold weather. I have not had any real problems with this truck. I have attempted to describe this truck to the best of my knowledge, but please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
