Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1983 Mercedes Benz 240D for $4,000 obo. I bought it a few years ago as a dependable, fuel-efficient vehicle to get me around town while I was in school. I never had any serious issues with it. I would average anywhere from 23-34 miles per gallon depending on the time of year and city/highway driving. It has a 4-speed manual transmission. Some of the Items I've done: I put new tires on it about 4,000 miles ago. New battery installed about 7,000 miles ago. Repair work done to the exhaust where some rust had taken its toll on the pipe. The oil was changed about 1,000 miles ago. Condition of Vehicle: The paint job is in decent shape for a 29-year-old car with a few chips. The leather seats are in great shape with no tears. The dash has some crack lines in it at the air outlets. The roof has dents in it seemingly from a roof rack the previous owner may have installed. The back bumper is a bit out of level on the driver side. The air conditioning has never worked in the time I have owned it, but I imagine a little bit of work could have it back in working order. The ceiling upholstery torn near the rear windshield. There's some rust at the bottom of the rear wheel wells. Overall, it's in great shape for a classic vehicle. 146,000 miles is not much for a car this old. These things run forever. This purchase would include the original owners manual as well as a few 8-tracks to go along with the stereo with the 8-track player.
