This car was purchased in a partially completed status for our 48th anniversary... .Now the good part is almost all of the work has been done and now due to age and budget constraints we must part company with this fun car. Performance: Late model GM clip (Chevy subframe) Chevy 350 Vortec engine (late model serpentine belts) Power steering, power window (driver side) GM steering column with tilt wheel Carter competition carburetor Edelbrock high rise intake manifold New electric fuel pump all new hoses and rubber lines Firebird positrac rear end with 277 gears for cruising 4 wheel disc brakes (power brakes) New red powder coated wheels with new tires GM radiator (brass) Lincoln automatic electric cooling fan for radiator Super sounding dual exhaust with dual "Smitty " mufflers New front coil springs and shocks New rear air shocks 2" lowering blocks Rear leaf springs are original New brake power booster Looks: Excellent glass with all new rubber moldings including trunk and hood compartments All chrome pieces in place and bright Nice chrome bull nose hood trim Bumpers filled (front bumper available) All bright work inside car is very nice and shiny (can't think of a better description) Leather wrapped/covered dash Windshield wipers are original and work (new blades) Original front seat reupholstered in Texas Flag design Original rear seat reupholstered in red with State of Texas embroidered in white New red headliner with new dark red windlace New carpet Tagged and inspected. Has 1948 Texas tags licensed to vehicle. Way cool Incomplete: The speedometer is not hooked up (only used in town cruising so ??), Car is in black primer.
