This is a true barn find . This BMW has sat in a barn yes it was a barn since 1984 the story that was given to me is the following. This car was bought new in 1976 here in charleston and was given to the owners first born girl in 1984 she then got a DUI and the car was parked in the barn until monday of this week when I bought it and towed it out. The DUI story could be true I found about thirty empty wine bottles in the trunk there is a photo of this in the photos. I thought about getting the car painted and cleaning the gas tank and driving it but I have too many cars and thought better not, so here it is. I am showing this car as I got it to prove the story. The engine will spin by hand and I think will start and run but didnt want to do anything to it yet. The inside is dirty but perfect except for the console, I think a radio plate should be there. The headliner is perfect, as are the seats. The body has surface rust on the trunk lid and a dent on the right side behind the door. The right front fender shows some surface rust too. The rear shock mounts or inner fenders are perfect , if you move the wine bottles. The car shows 68554 miles and I think its the right miles. The tires are junk. I looked under the car and the rear shocks look new and are konis. The engine also has a weber carb and Sthal headersI think they are sthal brand . Well this car is a rare find and could be a show car with a little work so lets see what happens. I have lowered the reserve price also as far as trades Mercedes are what I like Thanks
