Thanks for looking at my 1982 AMC Eagle SX-4 with under 87000 miles. This Eagle is in really good condition especially for it being 30 years old. I purchased this Eagle from a local mechanic whos daughter owned it for the last 2 years. The daughter wanted something newer so they sold it to me. Other then that I really don't know much on the history of this Eagle. What I do know is that the mechanic has done the following maintenance on the car. It has had a tune-up including plugs, roter,cap and wires. It has had the Automatic transmission flushed. Both differencials fluids have been changed. Also the wheel bearings have been changed. A brand new muffler has been put on the car this week. This car runs well and the transmission shifts smoothly. The mechanic said it doesn't leak any fluids. I did not see any marks were the car has been sitting for a long period of time but I do see the bottom of the transmission pan is wet. Also the car has just passed the state inspection. No emission test had been done on this car because the county were I live doesn't require one. Now all the Good about the car. The 4 wheel drives works just fine. The Air Conditioning works great. The Heater works great. The cruiser control works. There is a flip up sun roof installed. The power door locks work. All gauges and lights work fine. Wiper and spayer works fine. There is a after market Alpine Cd player installed that works. The doors window and locks work fine. The Door panels are in good condition. The Hatch opens and stays up on its own. The tires have good tread. No smoking from the engine or wierd sounds. The interior is in pretty good conditon. The carpet is faded but still looks good. The back seat looks good. The truck looks good. There is no cracks in the dash board. Paint needs a good wax and buff but in pretty good contion all away around. Very little rust on the undercarraige. Mainly on the rear springs. The only surface rust is minimal around the drivers door handle but very minimal. The rest of the exterior is close to rust free. The steering works good with only a slight pulling at highway speeds. All Glass is good including the windshield. Engine compartment looks complete. but I'm not a expert on these engines. Now for the Bad which is really not that much. There is no headliner. I've heard this is a common problem with Eagles. Missing the drivers sun visor and the passanger visor is in poor condition. There is a small dent in one of the front fenders. One of the bump end caps has been cracked and missing a piece of it. The drivers interior mirror control knob is missing. The drivers and passanger seat material is in bad condtion but both seat mechanism work fine. The passanger seat is missing a plastic piece next to the side handle. There are two cracks in the steering wheel. Thats about it. If there is anything I can think of I will add it later. I'm sorry that the car is dirty but I'll make sure it is cleaned very well before the buyer takes delivery. I have also taken a picture of the drivers door handle. That is the only body rust that I can find. I have notice a scrap on the passenger front fender flair. I wanted to show it but I think I can get it looking better when I clean up the car. The one reason I believe why this car doesn't have much rust is because of where the car was located for many years. Looking at the car fax that Ebay provided it shows the car had spend much of its time in the town of Price and the county of Carbon. This town is in central Utah. They do get snow there but not as much as Salt Lake. Price is located at the bottom of a mountain but on the edge of a desert climate. One more thing I forgot to add. Make sure you want and you are willing to pay for the car before bidding for this is a binding contract. Any one with a score of 10 or less, please contact me before bidding. Ebay will only let me up load one more picture. So this is best pictures showing what the frame rails and rust underneath the car looks like. I am unable to upload any more pictures. Sorry. What I can tell you is that there is very very minimal rust underneath the entire car. Once again the only real rust is on the back springs,skid plate and differentials. The rest of the car looks really really good. It was also pointed out that I forgot to mention is that the hood release lever is broken off. Also The two plastic interior A pillars has a few cracks in them were the screws go into them to attach them to the body. Looks like someone just over tighten them. They are intact but minimal cracks. Thanks again!
