Vehicle Detail
I purchased this Corolla in 2004. It runs perfectly. Starts immediately and never stalls. I changed the oil every 3000 miles. Features four new tires, with less than 5000 miles on them. The AC blows cold. No fluid leaks. The transmission shifts smoothly. I am moving to New York City, where I don't need a car, otherwise I would not be selling this Corolla. It has been a great car for me. The Virginia safety inspection is current. It expires in July 2012. There is a bit of damage and rust on the driver's side near the front, due to an accident by the previous owner. See photos. I never got around to fixing the rust, but it hasn't gotten any worse.Other minor problems: The overhead interior light doesn't work. I've had the fuse replaced, and then it will work for a few days and then stop again. So I just use a small flashlight now.The radio works, but usually only one speaker (left or right) works at one time. Rarely do they both work at the same time. I'm not sure why. The lowest fan speed for Heat/AC doesn't work, but all the other speeds work. Headliner (interior roof liner) is falling down. That's normal for older cars because the glue dries out. It's being held up by push-pins. There was an after-market cruise control installed, but I never used it so I don't know if it works.I believe the tire jack and temporary spare are in working condition, but I never used them so I can't guarantee it.The metal rod which holds up the hood would not stay in place, so I wired it in. It works fine. It will hold up the hood while you are working underneath, but you have to untwist a couple of wires to access it.Rolling up the driver's side window takes a little effort when the weather is cold. It's sort of stiff. When it's warm out it's easier. Map of Charlottesville and small flashlight in glove compartment. Small storage box in trunk with nice tire gauge, latex gloves, and some touch-up paint should you wish to use it.The trunk also has a nice plastic mat, which covers the fairly dirty original covering underneath.
