This is a great little Roman Red 4 speed Corvair Monza coupe that I am selling for a close friend. It was parked in 1967 and sat in a barn until my friend bought it and got it back to life. It was his grandmothers car and sat in the barn for a very long time because the transmission was bad . He installed a rebuilt transmission and resealed the engine, along with replacing the gas tank and he went through the complete fuel system . It has 5 new tires. It also has had the wheel cylinders and NOS brake shoes replaced, all brake lines and hoses. It has new thermostats, heater ducts and 140 manifolds and dual exhausts(an older system). It has had the upper surfaces repainted in acrylic lacquer due to stains from when it sat in the barn. It still has most of the original paint ,but has blemishes here and there and is no where near perfect . The seats and carpet and door panels need to be replaced , the headliner is nice ,but needs a good cleaning. There are some rust holes in the front floor corners (see pictures) that need to be addressed. There also is a rust hole in the trunk(see photo) . There is a dent in the rear panel near the righ back up lamp(see photo). It is a very good driving car and the 98 HP engine runs very strong . It does use a slight bit of oil ,but it does not leak . The only other issue is a very slight rattle at idle ,which might be the flywheel... The car gets looks where ever it goes and would be an easy project .. It has a clear tittle .. This is a no reserve auction . On Mar-05-12 at 03:28:10 PST, seller added the following information: I neglected to mention that I can hear a wheel bearing noise in the rear. I think I have a spare axle that will go with the car. Also the master cylinder was rebuilt and the radio works well . I also will assist if the car needs to be shipped.
