THIS 1969 FACTORY SS CHEVELLE HAS BEEN IN DRY STORAGE IN BOTH CALIFORNIA AND NEVADA SINCE 1981 AND IS A TWO OWNER CAR THIS IS A SUPER NICE BUILDER CAR. THE VIN AND TRIM TAG ARE ORIGINAL TO THIS SS CHEVELLE AND THIS IS NOT A CLONE. THE FACTORY OPTIONS ARE THE FOLLOWING. BIG BLOCK L35 396/325 HP, 4 SPEED TRANS, 12 BOLT REAR END WITH 3.31 GEARS,BLACK INTERIOR CODE 755, THE FACTORY COLOR IS SILVER CODE 69/69,POWER STEERING,FACTORY DISC BRAKES,TINTED GLASS,SUPER SPORT EQUIPPED, THIS CHEVELLE NEVER HAD A VINYL TOP EVER. THE BODY- This Chevelle’s body is in super condition for being a original 1969 body and you can tell this Chevelle has been in dry storage since 1985. The factory floor pans are in super condition and are super solid they still have the factory silver paint on them from GM. There is no pin holes or soft spots and they have never been patched or tampered with you will not need to put floor pans in this car. The original tunnel and factory 4 speed shifter opening is in super condition and has not been beat on or cut on it is original. The fire wall has not been beat on or bashed in with a hammer and is in super condition. Both quarter panels are original to the car and are in excellent condition and will not need to be cut off and replaced or patched. Both quarter panels are straight while looking down the sides and have not been crashed in to or been beaten on they are not full of bondo. The tail light panel is original to the car and is in super condition and this panel has not been crashed in to you will not have to replace this panel. Both the original doors are also in super condition they have not been crashed in to and are bondo free and do not have rust bubbles or pinholes you will not have to patch or weld on the doors. The driver’s front fender is original to the car and is bondo free and is reusable but you will need to patch the lower section of this fender. The passenger fender is also original to the car and is bondo free and rust free this is a super clean reusable fender. The original inner and outer rocker panels are in super condition and are super solid you can still see the original silver paint hear and there. You will not need to weld or patch on the rockers panels. The roof and rain gutters are also in good condition with only light surface rust. The roof is not pitted or soft and this Chevelle never had a vinyl top and the roof is in good condition. The windshield pillars and upper windshield area both out side and inside are rust free and is in good condition. The back window panel has a small fixable rust spot and the rest of the back window area is solid and dry. The metal dash down by the windshield area is solid and dry and is not rusted out. The SS hood is the original GM hood to the car and you can see the original silver paint on it. The trunk pan is original to this car and is in super condition there are no pin holes or rusty spots in this trunk pan and you will not need to cut or patch or replace this trunk pan. The rear tires housings are dry and there is no sings of bubbles or raised rusty areas they look nice. This body is Chevelle in overall super condition and will only need minor body work due to small door dings and small dents here. This Chevelle is not a rusty beat up mess and this truly is a super clean body to build. This Chevelle is intact with all of its original GM body panels. THE INTERIOR- The inside of this Chevelle is all original and is all intact. The dash cluster is in good condition and the original ss steering wheel is in good condition. The headliner is intact and in good condition. The door panels are the same they are clean and reusable. THE REAR END- The stamped markings on the rear end are 3959038NF and CW0204B. This is the original 12 bolt to the car and it is a 3.31 open rear end. THE MOTOR- Is the original standard bore 396/325 Hp V8 the suffix code on the front of the block is TO206JA. The embossed numbers on the back of the block are 3955272. The heads are 3931063 with a date coded of A289. The intake code is 3931067 and a dated of A239. The motor is a complete long block with the original crank,rods,caps, but has not ran in years and will need to be rebuilt. The Q jet carb reads 70452120R and below reads 2144. NO TRANS- But was a factory 4 speed car. I do have the original 4 speed cross member. I do not have this original trans or bellhousing. THE GLASS- The glass is all intact and original to the car and is in reusable condition. THE ELECTRICAL- All the electoral is original to the car and it looks to be in great condition and has not been cut or spliced into. THR CHROME AND BRIGHT WORK- All the chrome and trim inside and out is original to the car. OVER ALL- This Chevelle was going to be built for me because it is such a good SS 396 body with a lot of the original parts to start with but I bought a 66 corvette convertible to build instead. This Chevelle is a face value car with no hidden rust or patches or bondo hidden under a cheep new paint job the rust in the front drivers fender is the only spot on the car. The trim tag and vin tag are original to this Chevelle and this is not a made up SS 396 car. The bottom side of this Chevelle is original and is clean for being original.
