Up for auction is a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer that I have owned for 10 years and have used it to tow my boat. It is has been stored inside the whole time. I tried to provide as many pictures as I could that accurately show the condition and the rust spots. Although I have used it every year (generally running it every 3 months) it has only been driven less than 100 miles per year by me. It will operate in 4 wheel drive but I have never used the 4 wheel low option as the lever seems stiff and I did not want to try and force it. The motor runs and has good power and the exhaust is clear with no white smoke. While I have had the jeep, I had a Reese hitch added, new radiator & hoses, emergency brake line repairs, new distributor/plugs/plug wires and new hood insulation added. I have a brand new tan carpet kit (from Auto Custom Carpets, Anniston AL) specifically made for this Jeep model ($249) that I will also provide at no cost to the buyer. As I only run the Jeep every 3 months, I usually have to give it a shot of ether and then it starts up and runs fine. I also have the records from the previous owner indicating front end work, new alternator, headliner, U-joints, exhaust system, hoses and vacuum hoses among other repairs. The ac has never worked (heat works) and I suspect that the a/c electric clutch is shot. The passenger windows work fine and the rear window was working but have not tried it in the past year or so. The back left passenger door will open from the inside and outside but when opened from the outside, before closing it, you have to pull the handle on the inside and then it will close and latch properly. The previous owner sealed the sunroof and also had the skid plate repaired underneath and I have included a picture of that as well. I have never used the cruise control and unsure if it works. I will also be able to help with pickup arrangements that you have.
