2000 Mustang convertible, silver with black top, black interior, 5-speed manual, 3.8L 190HP V6. Fully loaded (every available factory option). I am the second owner; first owner is a close friend who sold the car to me in 2005 and it breaks my heart to have to part with it but I have no choice, cannot afford the repairs. Engine is toast and does not run (threw a rod last week and I can't justify spending the money on a rebuilt engine under my present financial circumstances); however it could be brought back to running condition with a rebuilt or remanufactured engine. For buyer's reference, the lowest bid I have received for a rebuilt engine including parts and labor is about $2500. If stripped for parts, this car has many good interior pieces and some good mechanical pieces. Headliner in very good condition. Rear seats in good condition, a few small scuffs but no rips. Passenger seat in good condition, again a few minor scuffs but no rips. Driver seat in decent condition, no rips but the leather has a little bit of wear. Carpet needs vacuuming but is in good shape overall. Leather steering wheel and shift knob from a Mustang GT. Brand new muffler and connecting pipes ($440, installed a week before the engine blew, aargh...). New heater core; heater and AC work perfectly. Mach 460J sound system. Leather seats, CD/cassette player, power windows/locks/steering. Traction control (not functioning, needs new master cylinder). Rear window in excellent condition; rear defroster functions perfectly. Interior panels are in very good shape apart from occasional minor scuffs. Dash panel, dashboard and gauges in excellent condition. Stock V6 rims (some wear present on these typical of car's age). Engine still has some functioning parts- alternator, solenoid, radiator, etc. (Damage appears limited to vicinity of piston chambers/cylinders and oil system.) Passenger sunvisor clip is loose and needs a screw (I don't have one of the correct size). If restored, in addition to a replacement engine the car will need some body work; front and rear bumper covers are damaged no thanks to family members with obnoxious parking habits (see pictures). Driver-side interior control panel is loose and will need to be replaced. Passenger window exterior weatherstripping is loose due to incompetent shop monkeys' failure to reassemble it properly. Needs new rear struts and right front ball joint. Also needs new E-brake cable (current one barely functions). Will eventually need new clutch, although the transmission itself has not had any problems and is functioning smoothly. Driver door and trunk lock cylinders are frozen; need to use remote to unlock doors (can open trunk via button inside glove compartment). Front windshield is cracked in upper-right corner from impact of some small object (pictured); windshield will need to be replaced but I might be able to get AAA to do that for free if buyer intends restoration. Asking $800 but am willing to negotiate; priority is to clear room in driveway for new car. Please feel free to message me with any questions or requests for additional pictures.
