Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1998 Jeep Wrangler. I purchased this Jeep around two years ago from my younger brother and completely renovated it. I am a huge Wrangler fan, this is my third wrangler and the reason for selling this one is because I am buying a four door 2012 Wrangler. Features: Lots of new parts, Tow package, standard, no air conditioning, lower gear ratio, extended fender flares, sailcloth top, no lift, element doors, Bestop rear seat, iPod deck, sound bar, alloy wheels, Michelin tires, and a meticulous/knowledgeable owner. Much of the mechanical work has been performed by myself or completed by a professional. I gutted this Jeep, installed the Sahara tan interior because I did not like the grey, replaced the Wheels and Tires, wheels are alloy and tires are Michelin so highway driving isn't a issue, Top is sailcloth but worn, rear seat is from Bestop and is smaller than the OEM seat (more storage space!), exhaust is mostly stainless & recently installed, tires have 90% tread left, engine idles smooth as seen in video, engine and transmission feel strong/smooth, new Bestop element doors which can be used with shell or as bars only, new Bestop mirrors, shocks are new by Rancho, starter, alternator, u-joints, wheel hubs, ball joints, all synthetic fluids in engine-transmission-differentials, flush kit for radiator which is three years old, new speakers front (Bose) rear (Pioneer), iPod compatible deck, tires recently balanced/rotated, new clutch put in one year ago, brakes front and back, distributor, Rancho steering stabilizer, and I am sure there is more. The e-brake only works when car is parked front-down, you need to replace the clips (I already replaced all cables and other parts). Otherwise, there is nothing mechanically wrong with this Jeep and should last a long time worry free but there are no warranties and I do not accept returns. However, buy in confidence! The winning bidder can show up, take a test drive and if he/she decides not to complete the sale, I will simply re-list the Jeep. The bad: 1) Rust. It's a 1998 and has been a northeast Jeep, so do not expect perfection but I did my best to address the worst spots. 2) The doors from Bestop I purchased are not exactly OEM and I sold the full doors, so I had to add some screws to the doors but they function much better now. 3) Parking brake issue. 4) Normal wear, dings, scratches, rust and fading for a Jeep of this age. I did my best to provide any information I can think of, however, if you should have any further questions please email me and I will respond back promptly. I am a very honest eBayer and am very proud of my 100% seller/buyer feedback. I have sold other vehicles on eBay with great success and hoping to do the same this time around. Good luck and happy bidding! Accident one: he rear-ended a car, causing the front right bumper and fender to get bent. I replaced both the bumper and the fender with new parts. Accident Two: Backed into a car in a parking lot, it was reported but not enough damage to Jeep for me to fix. You will see upon close inspection there is a dent on the back bumper. 2) Mileage. This vehicle originated in Canada. In Canada the odometer reads in Kilometers and unfortunately it seems the mileage was reported without the proper conversion. When I purchased the Vehicle from my brother the odometer read 132,000km. However, it bothered me that the cluster read in km/h instead of mph. The new cluster inadvertently changed the mileage as well. Long story short: My estimate is that the true mileage on the vehicle is ultimately 93,000 miles. On Feb-27-12 at 06:00:31 PST, seller added the following information: I just decided to order new wiper blade arms and wipers because the springs on the arms are a bit worn. I will install these prior to the sale. The windshield is only a couple months old as well. End result, night driving and driving in bad weather should be a lot easier and safer. Again, thank you for looking! On Feb-27-12 at 18:53:34 PST, seller added the following information: I also forgot to mention: I removed the gas tank and replaced the fuel pump & filter with high end bosch parts. I also replaced the fuel tank metal guard with a newer heavier OEM one which I then sandblasted and painted. I also replaced both fuel tank straps as well.
