Hello, We are selling a 1979 Mercedes 450SL. The odometer shows 94,783 but in the state of Florida the car is considered mileage exempt. So we are selling it as mileage exempt. This Benz has a previous title from the state of Nevada. This is a perfect light project for someone. We are a classic car dealer in Sarasota and have taken this car in on trade. We are Ideal Classic Cars of Sarasota, LLC. (see our other cars @idealclassiccars.net) The interior on the 450 shows well, no cracks or tears and the seats are not caved in. The carpet is in good shape and the motor has no noises. The the transmission shifts smooth and driveability is good. Brakes are up and all lights and windows work. The air conditioning is not working but all parts seem to be in place and intact. The radio is original factory equiptment but is not working. The rims on this car are Mercedes factory spokes. Light pitting exists and one has a small amount of delamination. The spare is also a wire rim and it and the tire seem to have never been out of the trunk. They are new. The top, as you can see from the pictures needs to be replaced...approximate cost of $900. The paint needs to be replaced. All top surfaces of clear coat are bad. Chrome on the car is straight and not bad at all. Tires are about 40%. This car is being sold as is but I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. We reserve the right to end the sale at any time.
