With summer coming now is the time that convertible. Up for auction is a real nice low mile red on red 1990 Vette convertible. This Vette is in overall nice condition and sports some real nice upgrades. I'm a semi retired Corvette owner and enthusiast so your not buying from some one who doesn't know these cars. I will provide you an honest description of this car but I strongly suggest you ask questions. What may not be important to me may be critical to you. EXTERIOR: This Vette sports it's factory red color. The body is free of any cracks or major flaws. The paint shines nicely and there is no clear coat peeling. There are some very minor flaws on the paint like any used car but overall the paint is very good. The black top is excellent condition and fits tight. There is the typical telltale mark on the rear deck where the top fits against the deck. Back window is clear and all exterior glass is excellent with no chips or cracks. The top weatherstripping could probably be needing replacing some time in the future. All exterior lights work and the headlights rotate quickly in both directions. There is a new headlight control module recently installed. The door and hood open up easily and line up nicely. The cars looks sharp with the top down and draws lot's of complements. INTERIOR: The interior is clean and free from rips and major wear. The carpets are clean front back and have nice red floor mats. All interior lights work as designed. The power drivers seat works in all positions. Unusual for these cars. The door panels are in great shape. The center console door fits right and it works. Usually these console doors are a problem. A 2 opening 12 volt outlet has been added in the console for powering your electronic devices. The interior also has a real nice looking wood trim added. Adds a nice touch to the interior. The power windows go up and down as they should. Tilt wheel, power mirrors and horn work. All dash lights light up and respond to changes to sunlight as designed. The electronic a/c blows ice cold. The stereo is an after market am/fm/cd player with after market speakers and Phoenix Gold power amp. The stereo sounds and works great and is a nice replacement for the factory systems which are a problem. Also the factory rear view mirror has been upgraded to a Gentex auto dimming mirror with built in compass. Nice touch. OVERALL MECHANICS: The engine starts right up and has no unusual noises or smoke. An after market air filter system has been installed for better breathing. There are no engine or transmission leaks at this time and the under carriage is clean and dry. The exhaust is tight and in good shape with a nice low tone. The battery is new and oil just changed and all other fluids checked and topped off. The engine compartment is really nice and clean. The transmission shifts into gear quickly and shifts thru all gears. All instrument gauges work and in normal operating ranges. Cooling fans come on when required. Brakes work good and sport slotted rotors. Tires are a matched set with about 80% life left mounted on after market Z06 style wheels. Car steers and brakes straight and there are no unusual vibrations at highway speeds. Thee cruise control and wipers work as well. Overall this is a nice looking and running 1990 Vette for under $7000. The reserve has been reasonably set considering the year and condition. Once again I encourage questions. This is a used car so please expect normal wear and tear. I strive to describe the condition of my cars in a honest fashion but I could have missed something. So ask questions. Also I don't tolerate non paying bidders. There's been alot of that lately. I will not accept any excuses. So get your permission from whomever you have to purchase this car. If you want to pick up the car I can pick you up from an airport or wherever. I also will work with your shipper. If needed I can recommend a real good door to door shipper. I expect a $500 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of auction close. Paypal is fine for deposit but will only accept a wire deposit or cashiers check drawn from an American bank. All funds must clear before I'll release the car. Buying a car sight unseen on E-Bay can be nerving. For this reason I will do whatever I can to answer questions and make this a good experience.
