2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT Convertible - 151,000 miles, Automatic. Purchased this for $4000 roughly 8 months ago for my fiance - Check Engine light literally popped on about 1 hour after I drove off the lot. The car runs great, just needs a few things done to it and I don't have the time or patience to do it. The CE pops on about once a month due to a misfire in Cyl 1 cam. My mechanic recommended replacing the timing belt as well considering the mileage. I just bought a new house in August and haven't had any time to put the work into this. I work 60hrs a week and have a child on the way, literally just looking to get some cash to put away and considering I have 2 other vehicles besides this one I'm in no rush to get rid of it so please no low balling. Below I have posted pictures as well as EVERY issue known to me about this car. MECHANICAL 1. Occasional CE flash from Cyl 1 cam Misfire 2. Front passenger rim is bent so leaks air - currently have a donut on this - depending on price i may take care of this before selling. 3. Warped rotor on front passenger side - I just purchased all new brakes & rotors today, i'll have these installed before selling. 4. Driver side mirror is loose (not housing, the actual mirror) COSMETIC 1. Small dent on the driver side corner panel (see pic). Salesman stated prior owner hit his mailbox? It's barely noticeable and can be banged out or replaced incredibly inexpensively. 2. Some small visible scratches on hood 3. Gas Tank door spring is broken, it opens and closes fine but does not "snap" shut anymore. KBB in poor condition is $3,200. My mechanic quoted me for $1,400 to take care of ALL the above issues (excluding the corner panel dent)... and that included replacing the timing belt & water pump.. which is NOT something that needs to be done currently. I'm open to negotiation but again, I don't NEED to sell this so no low ballers. My work schedule is quite time consuming so I prefer email or text messages over phone calls, as I generally cannot get back to you until before or after I leave the office anyway. PLEASE READ!!!!! - 03/02/2012 I dropped off the car this morning to have my mechanic replace the brakes & rotors so this will be completed before you purchase the vehicle. I noticed a very odd moisture build up on the windows of the car and the driver side floor was damp. I inspected the convertible top and there are no leaks, it seems as though water is getting in from the window passage.. possibly the rubber storm panel that seals the windows? I'm having my mechanic look at this but please be aware that there may be water penetration in this!! Current bidders should be able to withdrawal their bids if they feel necessary since the description is changing. I just want to be up front with everyone as I'm not trying to pull one over on anyone. So all current watchers, please be aware that there may be water penetration somewhere!!! I will update this upon inspection by my mechanic.On Mar-03-12 at 20:15:49 PST, seller added the following information: FINAL UPDATE! :) - 03/03/2012Brand new brakes & rotors were installed today. Mechanic concluded that the moisture is due to improper drainage in the door panel and recommended utilizing a snake or air compressor to clear the blockage.
