0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false 1972 Rally Sport Z28 Camaro REAL DEAL project car. I bought the car with the intention of restoring it, however the time and funds are not available. The car is a complete project, meaning it needs complete restoration. It has no motor or transmission but the original 10 bolt posi rear end and sway bar are still in the car. The Rally Sport front end on the car is in good shape, and is complete with all chrome, lights, and grille. It has only surface rust. The urethane piece is straight but has some wrinkling. The car has Z28 stamped in the trim tag as well as an L as the 5th letter in the vin, meaning that this is a true Z28 Camaro. The car has the original Z28 only 8 grand tach and gauge cluster. Most of the interior (other than the headliner, carpet, and other small misc. items) is there, just needs a complete overhaul. The car needs body work. The lower front fenders have bondo/rust, and I planned on just replacing them since straight originals are not very expensive. The rear lower quarters on the car need replaced as well. However, the wheel wells of the quarter panels are rust free, so I do not think full quarters would be necessary. The floor is solid, but does need some repair. The worst spots are the passenger side front floorboard and underneath the drivers seat. In these areas, there is more than surface rust and some pinholes are present. I think that it could be repaired without replacement but you be the judge. The trunk pan has rust and will need replaced. I show some pictures with the seats out so you can see the floor, but the seats are installed in the car as shown in the rest of the photos.
