1978 Mercedes 300CD Up for sale is my 1978 Mercedes 300CD. This car has very low miles incomparison to most of these Mercedes diesels you see. However, it did sit outside for a period of time so there are someweathering issues, primarily concerning the interior. Overall this car runs and drives great. The transmission shiftsflawlessly, and the engine performs properly. It could probablyuse a tune-up to keep up with the maintenance. These cars areknown to last for a very long time, and this one in particular hasa lot of life left, being that it only has 108,881 miles on the odometer. The body of the car is very straight with one minor dent on the rear passenger wheel well. The car has almost no rust, being thatit has been in California it's whole life. There is some very minor surface ruston the front and rear valences. The paint is still decent for its age, shines nicely but has some hardly noticeable spider webbing just from being inthe sun, but it is the original paint. The interior could use some TLC. It is fine for a daily driver,but could use some attention. Primarily the rear seat has some tearingand sun damage. The carpet could be replaced again just from being in the weather. I have tried to capture the defects in the pictures.I am not sure if the climate control works or not, it seems to bea bit intermittent. The radio needs an antennae to be functional. The sunroof works and does not leak. The tires have plentyof tread left, and the battery is new. Clean title,and current registration Overall this car is a great driver and in fine driver condition.The mileage is great for a Mercedes diesel, and the overallcondition of the car is decent for being almost 35 years old.Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
