Up for auction here is one of those "Barn Finds" that you hear about and on top of that originally a California truck ! A 1954 F-100 pickup truck. I was going to totally do a frame off restoration on it myself but as now I have So many other projects going on that I just do not have the time to do it .I have always wanted to build a Street Rod F-100 ever since I was a teenager,they look Totally Awesome when they are Slammed down low and painted up with a fantastic Paint Job....Especially starting out with a truck that is as straight and almost totally Rust free as this one is .I have been doing Auto Body for nearly 40 years and believe me this F-100 would be a perfect Candidate for either a Total "Original Restoration" or made into a Street Rod ....Either way you can not lose on this one, That's For Sure ! Now this truck does not have a Title or engine or transmission,but being in the car Biz as long as I have any of those missing items are not difficult what so ever to come across and find.I my self in the past have had several old car titles that I have acquired over the years ,just not a F-100.But what I will say is that I have inspected every single inch of this truck and as I mentioned earlier ,it is a Very straight truck with very little dings and dents in it ,the worst dent in the truck is on the right front fender and is totally repairable,even the entire Bed sides or in good shape,along with a surprising very straight Hood and Cab Roof,Solid floor pans with the only real rust hole I have seen is right in the middle of the drivers side lower door shell on the inside jam,the rest of the body and frame are Solid.And to mention to all interested,Even Both Left and Right Running Boards are in Good enough shape that all you would have to do is to strip all the old thin paint off of them ,primer them and then Refinish them ,they are in that Great of shape which is Very Unusual for a old truck. Plus I believe that most of the time they must of hauled hay and straw in the Bed Box,Cause what good of shape its in too! .. It does look like at sometime or another some one installed another type of engine in it ,so they had welded in other type of motor mounts on the front frame horns,but I did notice that this truck looks to have about all of the stainless trim and extra parts for it including the original gas tank and drive shaft and the trucks steering does work properly ...So If you all have any more questions on this F-100 feel free to drop me a line and I will do my best to answer all I can for you.And I can send a few more images if needed.I also have this truck For Sale locally so it could also sell at anytime !
