FOR SALE: 1968 Mustang Coupe. I purchased this car in 2002, but did not start restoring it until 2006. All the work that I am describing has been done to the car since 2006. It has a 289 CI engine that was rebuilt in 2006 and has approximately 39135 miles on it, but may have more when purchased as I drive it often . It has a 4 barrel 570 dual feed Holley carburetor with aluminum intake that was installed when the motor was rebuilt. The 3 speed automatic transmission was rebuilt when the motor was rebuilt. The brakes shoes have been replaced, new wheel cylinders, rear brake hubs were replaced and the master cylinder has been replaced. All shocks have been replaced. The car has dual exhaust with turbo mufflers. All the chrome on the outside of the car was replaced, including both bumpers, back up lights and front turn signal lights. The interior of the car has a new dash pad, dash instruments, radio, carpet, seat covers, headliner, door panels, arm pads, heater core and heater core box. Front and rear floor pans have been replaced. The cowl vents leak. I have a repair kit to fit it with, and I have a plastic cover that goes over the cowl so water does not leak inside until the repair kit can be installed. I replaced the steering wheel with a wood grain one. The cragar rims and road master tires were installed in 2008. The head light bucket assemblies were replaced. The hood had holes where they had installed hood pins and also was bent, so I replaced the hood with a fiberglass hood with hood scoop. All the rest of the body is original. The car was painted the original 68 Ford candy apple red in 2009. It only has two minor scratches on the right front fender and hood that was done while parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The car runs good and strong. No warranty with the car. You buy as is. I have told everything I can think of about the car.
