Vehicle Detail
1971 Chevrolet C-10 Fleetside Pickup Truck This is a Fly and Drive VehicleI strongly urge those who able to able to inspect the truck in person to please do so, contact me to make an appointment. Greetings fellow EBAY members and prospective buyers! Please, do not place a bid unless you are financially capable of completing the transaction under the terms listed in this ad. In this EBAY ad I have selected and listed some representative photos of the 1971 C-10 pickup I have for sale and have written a basic summary of the truck's attributes. Please note that the photos of the truck were taken in March, April and May of 2011 and these photographs do accurately represent the current condition of the vehicle. First off let me say that the ONLY reason I am offering this truck for sale is that I decided it is time for me to open my own shop ( rather than continuing to work out of my garage ) and I need to show the bank that I have a substantial amount of start-up capital of my own to invest into this business venture. Secondly ( and unfortunately for me ), this truck is too nice to be used as a shop truck for my business and I have plans to acquire another truck for this purpose, one with a little patina where I can transport driveline items without worrying if I will dent, scratch or otherwise bang the truck up, but I digress, as this is another build for another day. With this being said, let me get back on point regarding this truck, there is just way too much information regarding the details of the high performance modifications and custom fabrication completed during the 8 year build process of this 1971 Chevrolet C-10 pickup for me to be able to list all of what was done to the truck in this EBAY ad. So please go to my web site: AUTOBLUEPRINT.COM If you are sincerely interested in purchasing this pickup then I strongly urge you visit the web site to read about the C-10's build process. I'm confident that the web site will answer any questions you may have concerning this C-10, however, should you have a question that you feel has not been answered by the web site, then please, do not hesitate to contact me. At present, the web site section for this C-10 has 16 pages and well over 100 photographs. I realize that this is quite a bit of information, however, it is an excellent method for a potential buyer to familiarize themselves with the truck and formulate any questions regarding the truck. This truck, as is, can be driven on any public road or highway without experiencing "drivability" problems, i.e., the truck is street legal ( the California registration is current and I have it insured ), meaning that all the required safety equipment ( mirrors, lights, brakes, tires, seat belts, etc. ) are there and function far past the minimum standard of legal acceptance. Further, the ride quality is excellent, meaning the truck does not shimmy, wander, shake, sputter, hesitate, leak oil / fluid or have any traits that would be a cause for concern for the driver of the vehicle. In its current state, the C-10 requires no repairs and the only items it would need for the foreseeable future are required maintenance items such as oil and filter changes, tire rotation and the like. Currently in the C-10 is a slightly modified 350 c.i.d. and it is a strong runner. If you have been to my web site already, then you know there is a 383 c.i.d. stroker engine, with an array of additional high performance parts, that is included in the purchase price of the truck. The transplant of the stroker will turn this truck into a real screaming beast that should run in about the mid 12's, which I think is just right for a street machine. The price listed here includes my crating up the 383 c.i.d. stroker engine and it's associated parts, however, the buyer is responsible for the separate shipping cost of the stroker engine. The weight of the engine is approximately 540 pounds. The enclosed crate I will build for the engine will probably add an additional 100 pounds. I should be able to include ALL the associated parts for the engine in the engine crate, however, if this is not physically possible, then the parts will be divided between the engine crate and the cab of the truck. The people at Engine Shipping are great to deal with and you can get a quote for shipping cost on-line or by calling their toll free number. OPTION For an additional cost to be negotiated, I will install the 383 c.i.d. stroker rngine in the C-10. If you are interested in this additional cost option, first CLICK HERE to read about the options available and then e-mail me with your contact phone and we can discuss the details.
