For sale is a 1984 VW Scirocco. This 'rocco has just over 105k miles on it. It has NOT rolled over, either. It was my daily commuter car and it runs great. My wife's grandparents bought it brand spankin' new off the showroom floor and babied it until they gave it to me in 2008. They only put 84k miles on it. I've added the rest over the last few years. She is in such good condition! Only mild and regular repairs have been performed on her and the whole maintenance record has been kept. I had neglected her a little bit and then put $1400 into some much needed updates. THE GOOD:The upholstery is intact and clean (some fading from the sun)The ceiling vinyl is intact and cleanThe engine runs smoothly (see below)Brand new headlightsBrand new tires in early 2011Brand new windshield as of two months ago (the guy could only find one windshield in the entire country for me. Cost me a mint to get it here from Ohio!)Updated cooling system so it's not a pain in the butt!Brand new blower for heat/airCar just passed inspection and is registered for 2011-2012Minor few cracks on the dash boardNO RUST!!!Silver/gray colorBrand new muffler and welding job on the exhaust.Brand new CV boots and axlesI put $500 into 4 new speakers, plus put in my amp and 10" subwoofer. This think ROCKS!!! THE BAD:Cruise control doesn't workIdle screw loosens easily (I wrapped an elastic around it and haven't had a problem since - you could probably replace the screw and be just fine)Air conditioner compressor seized up on me. I disconnected it and it doesn't effect performance. With the updated cooler, you should just be able to replace the compressor without too much hassle.The back louvers (I think they were after market anyway) got ripped off during a freak wind storm. It did NOT damage the car and/or frame in any way... it just doesn't have the louvers - which I hate.A few minor rock chips in the paint (the biggest is probably 2.0 mm wide). That's all I can think of right now. She really is in great shape and I hate to give her up. Feel free to email me with questions. I'm listing this locally as well so first come first serve.
