Vehicle Detail

How we came about the car. I`m a diesel mechanic by trade. many years i have helped younger drivers redo old vehicles, there was a female friend at my work that was having a hard financial time, we bought the mustang from her. this was a daily driver she told me till a year ago. i seen some attempts at some rust holes with bondo, was left primered and she said they never had the money to finish. i paid her for the car on her word it ran. she said the carb leaked in front and be unsafe to drive. the next day i put in a battery and pulled choke, started but leaked onto the front of the block. i put a towel around it and drove it home, roughly around 5 miles, i could smell the gas is starting to turn, smells kinda like thinner from setting, needs be filled up with new gas basicly, i don`t know allott on the car, i can see some rust holes. under the pedals are rusted all the way through, pulled out the carpet to show. i see on some of the body some attemps of bondo, front fender is damaged on left side right is got a bad rust through spot. back right fender is bad. at one time looks as though they put a tire between two vehicles and tried to push it, this results in bent bumper damage across the back and looks again at a attempt to bondo across to fix, trunk looks like somebody sit on and is pushed down to far, the interiors all bad, needs aphostery, dash top is all bad, instrument panel looks ok. top inside bad, these are just observations and trying to include everthing can negative, the engine i cant really tell if original the valve cover shows 302, which would mean its not but easily you can exchange 289 and 302 parts, i notice a galvanized little shroud added, looks like the grill cross gaurd is missing. in a nutshell you can come look at if need. i bought this to restore and now my hours are being cut so having same hard time as her. im asking what i paid for, how i redid vehicles was buy direct metal replacement parts, lots available, this i would of took down to frame striped and redid into classic car shape, this be a great project and needs lots of work, the mileage i do not know. on dmv paperwork wasent written and never checked odometer, geusing over mechanical limits, we will have to go to dmv for title. its in transfer to my name. clear.
