Vehicle Detail

In 1969 John Herlitz designed the most beautiful looking automobile the world has ever, or will ever see... The 1970 Plymouth 'cuda. This one is an original 340 4 speed car, one of only 3,492 made in 1970! Rust Free project car that was in the middle of a full restoration. This is a super solid RUST FREE project car that I have been restoring slowly over the last 5 years. This is a REAL BS23 cuda with killer original options like front rubber bumper, pistol grip 4 speed, rally guages, hockey stripe tape treatment on rear quarters, fog road lamps, factory hood pin, EF8 Ivy Green Metallic, BLACK interior, factory 8 track, 3 speaker dash 'cuda. When I bought the car the original motor and tranny were already gone. I have tracked down an unpunched (virgin bore) '70 date code 340 small block, in great shape. It has been hot tanked and is sitting on the engine stand, ready to build. There are some motor parts included, like factory aluminum timing chain cover, distributer gear, piston arms, ect... No Tranny, but the original 4 speed pedals still remain, and I still have the original Z bar, throwout bearing, cross member, and of course the original rust free 4 speed hump remains. I do have the original driveshaft, and I was told the rearend was the original to the car, its an 8 3/4 posi w/ 489 housing 3rd member, 4:56 gears ready all that power to the street in a hurry. This was a pretty complete car when I bought it, so most parts are still around. I have the important pieces of glass, and all the window hardware and trim. Still needs a windshild and rear window replaced. I was planning on buying all new glass, but kept every single hardware piece from every window so I could swap everything over. Includes a ton of parts, including a SUPER RARE original front Rubber Bumper, new headliner in package, all the headliner bows are there, NEW black carpet (still uncut), the complete original 3 speaker dash is there, complete down to the ROAD LAMP switch on the bottom left of it. Dash has cracks (as they all do 42 years later) but I spent a grand on a brand new one from Year One, and its MINT in the box, and included as well. All interior trim is there, like kicker panels, seal plates, upper interor pillar trim, ect. New gas tank, new sending unit, new filler neck, straps, gas tank pad, all that stuff that it takes to put it to work. Car has been media blasted inside and out, there is no rust or filler anywhere on this car, it is 100% metal. Still needs to be finished body work wise. You will save so much money not having to do replace any metal on this car, and since its all metal, there are no suprises, you can see what your buying in the pictures... This car is ready to lead in seems, block out, prep, and paint to the color of your choice! As you can tell the hood is EV2 orange, as it was recently bought and put on car to replace the shaker hood I once had on it. That being said, the hood is the one body part that has not been media blasted and sprayed with primer yet. Car has its full set of original seats (w/ front buckets), and they have been fully restored (spent over a grand again) with legendary covers, new foam, sand and painted frames, new seat backs still in the plastic (not seen in pictures below, but included). These seats are beautiful. Wheels are a full set of era-correct Fenton GYRO Racing Wheel slotted mags, they are already on the front of the car, I still need to put the rears on. Brand New Rancho 9-way adjustable shocks in back bolted to a pair of Cal-Tracs. I spent countless hours in the rearend of this car alone, it looks perfect, though it shows up a little dusty in the pictures. It will clean up nice enough to eat off of, I assure you. I had the original rally guages shipped off to the east coast, and undergo a full restoration, and ALL guages, including the clock, recalibrated and tested to work perfect again. You can immage that wasent cheap... as I spent over a thousand dollars on thier restoration alone. I had the repair place leave the mileage on the odometer durring the restoration, so the car can keep accurate track of acutal body mileage again once fully restored. Car has 62,493 original miles, and was last driven in 1986. I have a folder full of reciepts and paperwork totalling well over $30k, it all goes with the car. Had car professionally appraised as it sits, $25k was the appraisal, thats inlcuded as well with the sale. All body numbers on this cuda match, radiator core support, cowl numbers, trunk numbers, fender tag, vin tag, and title. I have a clean Missouri title in my name. The grill, headlight buckets, turn signal marker lights, are all original OEM parts in SUPER EXCELLENT CONDITION, with NO BREAKS, NO CRACKS, NO DAMAGE ANYWHRE, and all mounting tabs are correctly in place. This is a perfect 42 year old complete grill setup with all trim, which alone is worth THOUSANDS. This grill setup alone is Hemi Cuda worthy... All trim for car is there, front and back, left and right, up and down, not one trim piece is missing or damaged. New road lamps were bought and installed, as this car did have them originally. Im sure I am leaving something out, if you have any questions, be sure to email me or call me at 8-863-7898, and I will be glad to talk to you. Great investment, and great way to buy a real cuda without spending $40k at one time... You can paint and finish out this car the way you want. I have taken over 40 pictures of this car, be sure to check them all out. IMPORTANT NOTE ~ The OEM rear window louvers and OEM fish gill rockers are NOT included with the sale of this car, but can be purchased seperately if the buyer is interested. I will be keeping the rear liscense plate too. I am the thrid proud owner of this 'cuda. Previous owner had owned since 1979, and only let go of car when he passed away. I have owned this car for over 5 years and put a ton of time and money into it (over $30k~ have all reciepts). I dont know what it will sell for, but YOU CAN NOT FIND, BUY, AND BUILD ONE TO THIS POINT FOR LESS~ Trust Me! If your in the market for a nice solid 4 speed 70 cuda project car, this is a great oppurtunity to pick up where I left off. Its a buyers market, and thats why this car is for sale. I never cut a single corner or cheaped out in any way when working on or buying parts for this car, I planned to keep this car forever, as you might tell from my eBay ID. I have 2 sons now that I did not have when I started this project, and with little money and no free time now, the 'cuda needs to go to a good home where it can be finished and enjoyed. Would be nice if new owner stayed in touch, and offered me a ride in it when its finished... Terms of Sale: $200 deposit due within 24 hours after auctions end, so I know I have a serious buyer. Remaining balance due within 7 days after auctions end. Located in Kansas City, Missouri. Please pick up the car within 30 days after auctions end, or I can nicely box up everything and put it in the car for a shipper to pick up, would recomend enclosed storage of course. I am easy to work with, if you have any questions, call 816-863-7898. Thanks for viewing my auction, and MoPar to Ya!
