A 1963 Pontiac Tempest convertible-very solid car it had almost no rust one small floor pan patch and one rocker panel patch no rust in trunk. Car has a 1967 285 hp 326 and a turbo 400 transmission. Motor runs very well the carburetor needs a little tinkering very cold natured. Rear suspension has been converted from the original trans axle to a ford 9 inch with leaf springs it is a nicely done conversion. Car has old thrush side pipes. Hood scoop is a real boss mustang scoop. I was told the car was modified in the 70's. The bad Transmission will not go in reverse Interior will need to be replaced Top will need to be replaced, frame is there Passenger door glass is cracked but still there and works Brakes need work they stop the car but they are not great Overall this will make an easy driver or a very good platform to do a full restoration Do not bid unless you are serious, ask any questions before you bid. Since I have received a lot of questions on the body, I decided to give it a good review. I found a couple of rust spots under the drivers door that will need some attention. As I have already stated, the previous owner patched a small area of one of the floor pans and patched one rocker panel. Unfortunately, the rocker was patched and painted and the floor was patched before I bought the car. The gentleman I bought it from was fixing it up for himself but became ill and could no longer finish the car. I would like to see the car finished and back on the highway where it belongs. This would be a great father/son project. I am very motivated to sell this car and would consider a serious fair offer.
