Vehicle Detail
1973 Jeep wagoneer 4 wheel drive: 360, automatic transmission, 36,347 thousand original miles. This vehicle has been owned by one family. Purchased new by a local Beverage company owner in 1973 at Korn buick in Kalispell Montana. I purchased it from the gentlemans grandson who had purchased it from his grandfather in 1991. This vehicle has two registered owners the grandfather and grandson. I was told by him that part of the mileage it gained while being towed behind a motor home. The tow bars are still in place under the front bumper. The vehicle has been meticulously maintained. Just recently it has had front wheel bearings and seals replaced and packed, new brake shoes and wheel cylinders. It has brand new firestone radials on all 4 corners. These are only the second set of tires on the wagoneer. The interior is absolutely beautiful and nearly flawless. The only area that is not flawless, is the rear cargo area where there are a few scuff marks. The Wagoneer runs and drives beautifully, these wagoneers have a comfortable ride. This one floats down the road. It has power steering and power brakes, intermittent wipers, original radio, locking hubs, all glass is in excellent condition, windows roll up and down nice and easy, heater works great. The carb is in excellent condition, the automatic choke works perfectly, the vehicle accelerates smoothly and has lots of power. The exterior has a few dings and rock chips compareable to any 36,000 mile vehicle. I recently sold my new dodge ram to my brother when it had about 17,000 miles on it and it had a few scuff marks and so forth. I am stating this because the exterior is not flawless but it is in excellent condition and has wear consistent with a 36,000 mile vehicle. It has the original paint, original interior, everything is completely original other than the tires being replaced and wheel cylinders and so forth. It appears to have the original spark plugs in place, I am not sure though. The interior is what really impressed me. The color combination is cream with a brown and black houndstooth type inlay, just looks sharp. The seats, the dash, everything looks showroom perfect. Looks like it has never been sat in! Unbelieveable condition. Must be seen in person to be appreciated. Paper work that goes with the car - original invoice from Korn buick for grandfathers purchase in 1973, original owners manual, owners manual supplement, and other jeep brochure that came with original purchase. Clear title from 1991 when the vehicle was registered to Grandson. Will be sold as 2 owner open title, I will not register into my name it would decrease value. I buy classics for the purpose of resale. next registered owner will be winner of auction unless you are a broker or dealer. Shipping is the rersponsibility of the Buyer. I cleaned the interior and exterior prior to photos. I did not have the vehicle detailed that is how clean this thing is, it literally was just a little dusty. The paint could be buffed out to look like a mirror. There is no oxidization. It was kept under a carport by the grandson. I waited a few days for the weather to clear to take the photos but it was snowing out and just wanted to get the auction going so i pulled it out of the garage and took a few photos. I am going to add engine photos within a couple days.
