I am selling my 1992 mazda miata mx-5 convertible. This car only has 60k on it and it is a automatic transmission. With that being said The car is not in new condition it is a 19 year old car that is in need of a few items. Do not get me wrong this is a good running and driving car that starts right up shifts good. I bought this car off of a older gentleman where it sat for 2 years, I bought it last year and seems to be the same story. I had good intentions to get it back on the road, but with kids and remodeling a house I have found myself needing the time and space more. Anyway the car was in New York from the pre previous owner who then moved to Indiana and later sold the car to the older guy that I bought it off of. He never got the title turned over in his name, so when I purchased the car it was in the womans name he bought it off of. I bought it and did not look closely at the title, the mileage said 602,58 instead of 60,258 the woman wrote it wrong on the title. Long story short I tried to locate this woman and she had moved back to New York. Anyway I had to get it titled in my name and I did not want the title to say not actual so I just had it say exempt due to the age of the car. That is why I copied the old title and you can see in the pictures, in 2007 when the woman titled it only had 44000k on it. Of course the car does not have 602,258k on it. ! IT HAS CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME! ready to go. ABOUT THE CAR: The good is that it only has 60k on it, This could be a awsome little summer car!! It will need a few items addressed. It will need the top finished and a repaint to make look new again. The little spots of rust that it does have is on each side down by the rockers, I have learned that this is from when someone does not keep the rain rail drains cleaned out water and such will sit down there and this is why the rust spots are there. The air bag light is on, and the cd player will need installed. It does have power windows but needs motors? Another thing is and I did not do this but the electric cooling fan is on a toggle switch? a thermostat is only $25.00 but someone spent $20 on a switch and wire?? It will also need a drivers side mirror it was broken and I threw it out I was going to get a new one. I typically get the car out and start it every couple 2 to 3 weeks and drive it around my edition. Yesterday when I got it out to take the pics, I noticed a little anti-freeze on the ground, I can see a little leak up at the top of the radiator so it may need a new one at some point. I am not trying to sound bad I just want to tell you everything I know so when you come pick up the car there are not any surprises. My goal was to get this ready for spring and have a awsome summer driver. You may be able to find one of these finished and painted but you will pay alot more and it will have over 100,000 miles on it. You will be hard pressed to find a mazda miata with 60k on it for this cheap. I really hate to get rid of it because I know what it could be, I am not going to just give it away so there for I have set a very fair reserve.
