Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a very rare (non sun roof model) 1991 Isuzu Impulse RS Turbo AWD, 5 speed. Approximately 800 cars were imported to the USA and Canada in 1991, Ther ar very few left in this condition. The car is fairly complex and loaded with ammenities for a car of this size and class. It has a 1.6L 4-cylinder twin cam turbocharged engine, code named 4XE1-WT, with factory piston oil squirters, external oil cooler setup with OE remote oil filter location, top mount intercooler, and a IHI RBH5 series turbo. The engine is rated at 160hp and 150ft-lbs and a 7200rpm redline. The suspension is tuned by Lotus, with struts, springs, and sway bars specific to the AWD Impulses only.Power windows with one touch auto down feature for driver's window, power door locks, and anti-theft system), ABS, driver's Airbag, cruise control, "premuim" sound system with graphic equalizer, fog lights, and intermittent wipers. I paid to have the car legally transferred into my name, which required paying the sales tax, a thorough inspection by the Washington State Patrol (the car passed the inspection with NO issues) and has new plates and tabs good til next year. I am currently the registered owner of this car, I am not the legal owner, I have been unable to locate the person I bought the car from thats why I had to go through all of the BS to register the car in my name. I have done all of the legal paperwork to become the registered owner of this vehicle and I can legally transfer that ownership to the purchaser, After a waiting period, the registered owner will become the legal owner. New battery, New passenger side CV axle boot, new oil cooler lines, new wipers.Good running condition, No smoke or issues at start up, starts and runs great even in below zero weather. Autocheck lists an accident on the report, The Carfax report I got last yeardoes not. It looks to me like the right front has been in an accident but I cannot find any major issues. This car is not perfect, there are dents and ding, but it does have a lot of potential and is a fast, fun car to drive. The car shifts, drives and stops great. Air conditioner does not blow cold, the heater works great. All lights work including the interior courtesy lights. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Dont miss this opportunity to own a piece of Japanese hot rod history. The tabs wer new when I bought it so I have been driving the car for a year with no issues. Regarding the title: When I went to register this car in my name, I had with me the signed and dated title, a signed and dated bill of sale. The person I bought it from removed a portion of the title called "the sellers report of sale" required by Washington State when you sell a car. He inadvertently removed a small part of the title showing the mileage, that is why the department of licensing would not accept the title, even though the car is mileage exempt because of age. I tried to find the owner of the car to correct this but he lives in another part of the state and I have been unable to locate him. I was advised by the DOL to send a certified letter to the last known address of the owner of the car with an affidavit for him to sign correcting his mistake. The letter was returned 30 days later unopened allowing me to apply for ownership. I did everything required as explained above and I am the owner of this car, therefore I can legally sell the car. All this means is there is a waiting period to become the legal owner, which may not apply in your state. I hope this answers any questions you may have. All of the paperwork from the DOL will come with the car. Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
