1962 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX Early 60's drag style car. Low gloss black paint (not primer), Solar gold top. Body is in very good condition, very straight with little filler. Bodywork done 30 years ago and car has been mostly garaged since. Interior is original and usable. New PUI door panels are included . Dashboard brightwork is in good shape with pad requiring restoration. Original console houses B&M shifter. Covico steering wheel is rare and period correct. AM radio and heater blower are in working condition. The heater core has been recently replaced. The floors are original and show factory undercoating and are in excellent condition, along with the trunk floor. The frame is very good with no rusty scale or damage. It does need a bodymount at the rear. The suspension was all rebuilt at one point and shows no wear. Brake and fuel lines are excellent as well. Modifications include: 68 400-340hp engine from Bonneville complete with Qjet carburetorTurbo 400 transmission (no more SlimJim slush box!)Headers with glasspacks (hope you like 60's loud...but kind of mellow)Dual master cylinder and late booster upgrade The engine starts up and runs strong, transmission shifts fine and the car generally seems to drive pretty well, but has not been on the road for some 30 years. The chrome wheels are multiple bolt pattern and in my opinion not very safe to drive any distance. The G78-15 tires are old and questionable as well. I am in the process of locating replacement rolling stock and will provide photo if before auction's end.Included in the sale is a Super Duty hood scoop, some new weatherstrips, the aforementioned door panels as well as the originals, original door lock set, wiper motor and arms, new tail light lenses, interior moldings and trim, rocker panel moldings and various miscellaneous parts.Also available at EXTRA COST to the WINNING BIDDER is a working Offy dual quad set up, and American mag/Radir NOS slicks combo.Please email for additional information prior to bidding.
