Vehicle Detail
Hello, I am selling my 2006 Chevrolet Impala that has the police package. It is a great car but since I moved to New York City from Michigan I really don't drive much all so I am selling it. I have owned for about a year and a half and originally bought it off EBay from a Michigan police department. I bought front and rear tires for it the winter of 2010, change the oil every 4000 miles and drive it very easy. I will be listing all the information that I know about the vehicle but I am sure if you are looking specifically for a police packaged Impala then you already know what you want. At the time of this posting the vehicle has 127878 miles. Both the rear doors do not open from the inside because they were made that way by the police department that owned it before me. It comes with two keys, both keys can unlock the vehicle but only one key can actually start the vehicle. Interior - Grey cloth seats (Drivers seat has a 3 inch rip in it, probably from wearing handcuffs because I did the same exact thing in another car) - Plastic covering all around the floor which is very easy to clean and wash - Steering wheel has some large gouges out of the rubber that goes to the metal so I have a steering wheel cover (Picture of gouge) - Back seat is vinyl and removable - Has a drink holder/tray between the front driver and passenger seat (picture included) - Has holes where the microphone was and where the spotlights were Electrical - Headlights, running lamps and brake lights work - Radio and speakers work but has a some cosmetic damage on the fascia around the radio (Picture included) - ABS and some other light has been on since I bought it (Car runs great and gets good gas mileage so I wasn't worried about having it get looked at) - Interior lights work - Radio has an auxiliary input so you can plug your iPod/MP3 Player or phone (some phones) directly into your radio for a clear output (cable included) - Power seats, windows, AM/FM radio with CD player Mechanical - 3.9 V6 engine - Automatic transmission - Leaks a little radiator fluid Body - Has holes where the spotlights and where the lightbar/antenna was attached (I filled these in and there are pictures of it) - Has a dent behind the rear passenger window (Picture included) - Has some marks/scratches on the rear, driver side corner panel (Picture included) Other - Spare tire and tire changing tools are included - Michigan titled and registered if it makes a difference - I have the original title - Postal money order required for payment. I have had problems with PayPal not depositing the money until the buyer indicated she received the item and I do not feel comfortable giving someone my car without payment received first - No returns accepted - You will need to pick up the vehicle from Queens, NY Thank you for considering buying this car and if you have any questions please call me at 989-714-5502 or email me at AlanKaeckmeisterPI@yahoo.com NOTE: I have been receiving many e-mails offering to buy the vehicle through paypal or personal checks. I accept postal money orders only and this is why. It is a common scam for a "payment" to be made with a forged cashiers check or through paypal. Right after the payment is made they say they over paid or want a refund. After money is sent back to the fraudulent buyer from the unsuspecting seller, the seller finds out that there really was no legitimate money sent so the money never gets actually deposited. That means the seller is out whatever was sent back as a refund. Are the police actually going to investigate if I got scammed by forged personal or cashiers check? Probably not... however, a forged postal money order is a federal crime which would get taken care of. So, postal money orders only for payment.
