It features the hard to find 1.9 liter diesel engine and automatic transmission. The engine starts right up and the transmission drives great and shifts flawlessly. The engine oil, oil filter, air filter, transmission fluid and transmission filter have all been changed less than 5 miles ago. It has power windows and locks that all work as they should. It has heated seats up front that work great!! It's a very nice feature in the freezing cold! The seats have a few stains on them but are in very good condition overall. The floor mats are very dirty, but that is good, because the carpet underneath is in great shape! The floor mats have done their job. This car is in very good running condition with only a few blemishes on the body. Please take a look at the pictures below and VIEW THE VIDEO!! The video features the car walk-around and start up. There is a crinkle (or dent...I don't know what to call it) on the front passenger side hood. The drivers side doors have a small dent that runs the length of them but it is very minor and the doors function as they should. The passenger side rear quarter panel was repaired by the previous owner but the paint doesn't quite match the rest of the body. I show these body blemishes in the video and pictures below. The timing belt was replaced by the previous owner at 180,000 miles so I don't see the point to replace it right now. IF you would like a timing belt job performed on this car, I can do it. I have installed DOZENS of timing belts on TDI's so I can say with confidence that it will be done right. If the winner of the auction wants me to install a new timing belt I can do that for $600 extra on top of the final hammer price of the auction. If the car sells for MORE than $6,700 I will do the timing belt job for free. If you don't want a new belt on the car, that is fine too. A well done timing belt job includes a new timing belt, new serpentine belt, new water pump, new timing belt tensioner, two new timing belt rollers, all new stretch bolts (on the motor mounts, fuel pump, harmonic balancer etc...), top off with new coolant, new cam seal, new vacuum pump seal and a couple other small parts. The new bolts also have to be installed to VW specifications. I have all of the specialized tools to complete this as well as VAG-COM software to help make adjustments to the fuel pump once the belt job is completed. I do all of the above with a timing belt job. That's big news if you live in Virginia!! The glow plug issue that I mentioned in the video is officially fixed. All it needed was a new glow plug harness.
