Vehicle Detail
The time has finally come for me to sell my beautiful 2002 Trans Am WS6. I acquired the car 6 years ago, have babied it ever since I first test-drove it, and it was very well taken care of by the 2 previous owners. The vehicle had 36,000 miles on it when I bought it, and I have only added an additional 22,000 miles onto that. The car came from the factory with every option you could want: it's a beautiful black with a black leather interior, has the WS6 horsepower and handling option, GT spoiler, 6-speed transmission with a Hurst shifter, 3.42 gears in the rear (the most aggressive available from the factory), Traction Control, glass T-Tops, 500 watt Monsoon stereo, 12 disc CD changer, dual power seats, and there's probably some others I can't recall. I have maintained the car with Royal Purple synthetic fluids and Lucas synthetic Oil Stabilizer every 3,000 miles. At 52,200 miles, in addition to changing the oil and oil stabilizer in the engine, I had the transmission drained and filled with Royal Purple synthetic trans fluid; I also had the differential drained and filled with Royal Purple synthetic gear oil and Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer. It's only been 30 miles since I last had it in for maintenance (oil changed (RoyalP 5W30 HP street), transmission topped off, new windshield wipers). The interior is virtually flawless as you can see; the windows have been tinted since before I purchased the vehicle to help ensure that that continues to be the case. Non-smoker. The paint does have some wear, as you would expect. It drives like an absolute dream, and is mechanically perfect. The tires were put on the vehicle at 49,000 miles and are 275/40 ZR17 BFG G-Force T/A KDs. The wheels are 17" and were installed by the previous owner. I installed Powerslot drilled and slotted rotors and Hawk brake pads on all 4 corners at 51,600 miles. The car also has a Flowmaster cat-back exhaust system that the previous owner had professionally installed, and it sounds absolutely fantastic; very mellow when cruising, but screams in the higher RPMs. I installed a Jet skip-shift eliminator that gets rid of the obnoxious emissions provision that makes you shift from 1st to 4th under certain circumstances. I have a Hypertech Power Programmer III for the vehicle and it has been tuned with it. I also installed an SLP 160 degree thermostat and an SLP high flow air box lid a month or two after I bought the car. I put in an Optima battery about 1,200 miles ago. About 50 miles ago, I installed a Granatelli high flow mass airflow sensor, an SLP smooth bellows, and a brand new K&N air filter. These additions cost ~$2800, bring the car to around 400 HP (while still maintaining ~28 mpg highway), and make the car feel and perform better than new. I had planned to supercharge the car and began to buy some parts that would be necessary when I did. I have a brand new Centerforce dual friction clutch rated to 600HP, an SLP billet aluminum flywheel, and SLP bolt-on subframe connectors sitting in their boxes in the garage. These parts retail for ~$1000 total and are included with the car, of course. I also have a brand new custom fit car cover for the car as well. The car passed California smog recently, and the factory airbox, mass airflow sensor, and accordion bellows with a Tornado insert will also come with the car.
