1963 King Midget Model 3 Barn Find, Needs restoration and some parts According to Wikipedia, there are only about 400 of these cars in existance. This car has been in storage in California since 1970 and is not in running condition. There is no rustout on the body but some in the floor pan. There are minor dents and some surface rust from being stripped and not prepped properly . The Kohler 601 engine was replaced with a V twin cylinder Tenual Aluminum engine from a WWII aircraft auxiliary power unit built by Ranger Aircraft. The engine turns freely and has some unique features such as magnito ignition. It is mated to an early GM 3 speed trandmission. The installation was done without alteration to the original frame. It is obvious that the person who did the engine conversion was a skilled mechanic. The car is complete except for the gas tank, gauges, upholstry, storage tray and top. All body parts are available from Midget Motor Supply for very reasonable prices. They also carry a good selection of mechanical parts shown in the pictures. I'm listing this for a friend.
