0 0 1 482 2751 Page Productions 22 6 3227 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE We acquired this gem in 2007, and it quickly became the iconic co-star of the hit Food Network series “Diners, Drive-Ins’ and Dives” in its first 11 seasons, but only after almost $20,000 in parts and labor were invested to restore this beauty back to its original performance and looks. This “4 on the Floor” camaro SS came equipped with the original 327 block motor, modified to a 350, v8, 5.7 liter with a 305 camshaft and a 411 rear. The restoration started with the replacement of the convertible top, well liner, tension cables, hydraulic lines, top pads, plastic window curtain, hydraulic motor and a new Carpet kit. The rest of the Interior is original except for the rubber boot around the shifter. We also replaced axle seals /full diff with oil, sway bar bushings, shift shaft seal, output, shaft seal on the transmission, brake rotors, steering gear, u-joints, steering pump, exhaust gasket, brake calipers, wheel bearings, drive belts and strap kit. We removed the manual transmission for resealing, added a new clutch kit along with a new fork and ball stud, refaced flywheel, bearing retainer, nuts, keys and bushing. In 2009, after having some issues with the modified 327, we decided to go back to power and performance with an almost maintenance free running gear by replacing the engine. We did a complete oil pan to carburetor performance engine install by going with a 350c/379hp performance motor. Dyno tested 376hp at 5500rpm, and 409.3 torque at 3600 rpm. Some specs on the motor are: 4 bolt main, h/p connecting rods, high tensile rod bolts, hyper eutectic pistons, moly rings, bored aluminum alloy rod and main bearings, tri metal cam bearings, double roller h/p timing set, comp cam camshaft 268/280 duration, 477/480 lift, hydraulic lifters, high volume oil pump, dart iron eagle s/s cylinder heads, 2.02 stainless swirl polished intake valves, 1.60 stainless swirl polished exhaust valves, h/p valve springs, long shot rockers, hardened push rods, Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock 600cfm carburetor, accel 5200 series distributor, plugs and wires, stamped steel oil pan and timing cover, chromed valve covers, h/p harmonic balancer, and brand new 3 core metal radiator with all new hoses, new starter, water pump with gaskets and all new belts. The performance of the car is amazing and has been maintenance free. Always serviced with Valvoline VR1 racing oil, and burn octane boost with 89 or higher. Less then 5000 miles have been driven on the new engine, so it is just broken in for you to enjoy. There are 161,690 miles on the odometer. The original modified 327 engine has been sealed and sits on a pallet in dry storage! This will be included in the sale for no extra cost, and before this 327 was removed: all new gaskets had been replaced, carburetor was rebuilt along with newer starter and water pump! So, You would have both engines and both in working condition. The only reason we switched the engine was for reliability, which was a must for us when filming on location. This car is a star prop and piece of television history!
