Vehicle Detail

1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible 442 tribute car. This car was a beautiful Antique Pewter from the factory, and has been repainted sometime in the '90s to the white color you see now. Paint looks nice, but not show quality. This car came from Texas and is a solid car. Solid frame, solid floors, trunk has some rust bubbling and surface rust underneith the original trunk mat, but no rust holes anywhere. Looks like the rear quarter panels have filler in the bottom parts, obviously done before the repaint in the '90s mentioned above. Cars interior looks very nice, however there is a few cracks on the dash. Carpet looks great, seats look great, door panels look great, all glass is good. Top is complete but rear window has fallen in, and top power motor seems stuck, so I manually put the top down, and will say it needs a new top. Top frame and latches are in good shape, all work correctly. This Cutlass still has its original Deluxe F-85 V8 engine, with FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING! (rare for convertible) Other options include power steering, power brakes, power top, AM FM Radio, black interior, front bench seat, 12 bolt limited slip rear, ect. Sitting on a set of American Racing Torque-Thrust D mag wheels, car looks real tough and gives that era correct look... This car does run and drive good, but it still needs some work. Just installed a new battary and did an oil change, runs good once warmed up. Car was parked in 1998 and has sat covered up and indoors since then, until I bougth it last month from the previous owner, who brought the car here from the dry state of Texas. This car was never driven in the salty midwest winter roads, so it still looks good! Due to the long term storage there is rust in the gas tank, and I have been cleaning out or changing the fuel filter several times already. It seems to be getting cleaner, but no doubt junk has already got into carburator, which is probably why it you need to prime it to start it. I would recomend the new owner clean out the fuel system completly, it would make this car a real nice driver that way. You can just keep swapping fuel filters and see if it clears up, but you know how that goes. I have driven this car 7 or 8 times on short trips locally, havent attempted any long distance trips. Lights work inside and out, turn signals work, car runs good once it warms up for a few minutes running. Motor sounds good, transmission shifts good and goes in all gears fine. Rearend sounds good (nice and quiet). All brakes work, just replaced some hardware in front brakes. Car was parked in very nice shape, and was a nice driver, however due to the rust in the gas tank clogging up the fuel filter, I would recomend the winning buyer to trailer the car home or have a shipper pick it up. Car comes with a whole folder full of reciepts and paperwork on this car, spanning the past 20+ years of this cars history. Also included is the original owners manual, full set of keys, and a clean Texas title. That should answer most your questions, be sure to email me with any others, and HAPPY BIDDING!
