You are viewing a 1962 Thunderbird Landau Time Capsule that I am selling for my best friend. This car has lived an extremely pampered life spending all but the last 2 years in Southern California. Since then, it’s rested gently in a climate controlled garage. The previous owner owned it for over 30 years meticulously maintaining it including recent services: The entire brake and cooling systems have been rebuilt, including the re-coring of the original radiator. Rating this car on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being a best of show, this car is a 7.5. The engine compartment, the condition of the mostly original interior (the front seats have been recovered), the ride, chrome and stainless are all a 10. The car still wears its original paint and has a few body scars from its years of use. Even the vinyl top is in awesome condition. Also, please check out the pictures of the underbody. This car has zero rust. The Kelsey-Hays wire wheels are in excellent condition too. What makes this car so special is its wonderful original condition. Remember, they’re only original once. This car runs and drives beautifully and needs nothing but to get it in and enjoy it. You will have no worries going for ice cream or going on a cross-country cruise. The paint still shines very nicely, but has a few thin spots. There’s a scrape in the right rear ¼ panel and one of the fender skirts has a small dent in it. Standing just a few feet away, this car looks awesome. It’s a 390 (Z code) engine with a C6. The rear is a 9 inch with a 300:1 open differential. There are no leaks in any of the components.
