Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1990 Honda Civic SI hatchback. The car has been taken care of meticulously since new by both the original owner and myself (I am the second owner; all records including the original window sticker are available). Runs and drives excellent. It currently has 145,xxx miles, which will more than likely increase since this is still my daily driver. Overall, I average 34 MPG, with approximately 32 city and 36 highway. Very clean body and interior. I recently got back from 1,200 mile, problem-free road trip, and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this civic cross country if needed. These cars are known to be bulletproof, and this Civic SI is no exception.   Options: Power sunroof, OEM Honda/Acura CD player, OEM mud flaps, rare optional Honda center console, Viper aftermarket alarm system professionally installed   Engine/transmission: D16A6 1.6L SOHC – runs amazing mechanically, great MPG! 5-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly and is very smooth 145,xxx miles Meticulously maintained – all records available since new!   Interior: The interior is immaculate with the exception of a tear (see pictures) of the driver side front seat cloth. The foam bolster is intact and undamaged. It is simply a rip in the fabric. There are no other rips, tears, fades, or stains. The carpet and headliner are both excellent. There are no smells or strange odors. The door panels on either side are in EXCELLENT condition with absolutely no tears or cuts from the seatbelts (a common problem). A rare optional OEM Honda center console has been installed for convenience and extra storage. The rear cargo cover is in excellent condition with no problems. The car currently has rubber, all-season floor mats installed due to the winter months. I plan to include the original dark grey Civic SI factory floor mats, but as of right now, they have been misplaced. I will update when they are found - they are in excellent condition as well. All power options work perfectly. The power sunroof opens and closes with no problems. All dash lights and gauges work. The car is a factory AC delete model, however all other heating controls work like new and are not cracked or broken.   Exterior: The exterior is also in excellent condition. It was garage kept for a majority of it’s life with the exception of the past five years. Considering this, the paint still shines; it has been waxed yearly. The car has two spots on the front bumper worth mentioning. On the driver’s side, there is a small, approximate 5” scratch, and on the passenger side front bumper, there is an area where the car was bumped into a fence, and the original owner attempted a DIY bondo job (just bondo, no paint). Bondoing a plastic bumper…? Don’t ask me. See pictures of the above-mentioned spots for reference. The factory hubcaps have also seen better days, as the weather has seemed to take a toll on them. Let the pictures do the talking; the exterior is in overall great condition!   Major Recent Service: First, and most important: Routine oil changes every 3,000 miles religiously since day one, no exceptions 03/10/2011 – 129,006 miles – head gasket, timing belt, water pump, cam/crank seals, distributor 08/05/2010 – 122,426 miles – brake job, distributor cap/rotor, spark plugs, NGK spark plug wires, K&N air filter, radiator, radiator hoses, thermostat, coolant flush, front/rear NGK shocks 11/17/2009 – 120,143 miles – clutch replacement, rear main seal replacement Known Issues: The passenger side axle recently started clicking when going around turns. It doesn’t affect the drivability of the car, but the axle will need to replaced in the future. The tire tread is currently at the warning wear rubber (inbetween the valleys of the rubber), so the tires will also have to be replaced sometime in the future.   Again, this is a great car, and I currently wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere. All records available and will be given to the new owner.   The car has been adult owned since day one. Finding stock, well taken care of Honda Civic SI hatchbacks is becoming more and more difficult to do. This is a great example one.   The car is sold as is. It’s not being advertised as perfect or looking brand new. It’s a used car and has the expected minor door dings and scratches (I tried to capture the best I can with pictures). The title, registration, and everything is up to date and in hand. No problems whatsoever.   The car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. If you care to submit an offer, feel free to do so via ebay message. But honestly, I plan to allow the ebay auction to run it’s course.   Upon completion of the auction, a deposit of $400 (non-refundable) is required within 48 hours. The rest of the payment will be due when the car is picked up. All transactions will be held at my bank to verify payment source. Please contact me at 971-235-0213 if you have any questions.   Please bid only if you intend to purchase the car. Too many times have ebayers bid on items and have not followed through. Please don’t waste my time or yours. Best of luck!   Pictures:
