1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel, 63,000 miles. This is an excellent condition vehicle,for its year. The vehicle has never had an accident, and still wears its original paint,with no rust. The car has a few small dents. The interior has never been smoked in, and actually smells like a newer vehicle. I will try to give the most accurate description of the good and bad about the vehicle. The Good....All original body, never an accident. All original paint, without any appreciable rust..New tires, new battery,new belts,new vacuum pump,all new fluids,great driving vehicle. Tracks as straight as an arrow,and gives a very confortable ride. You could buy this car and drive it across country, without fear. Everything works except the clock works intermittently. It will keep perfect time for months then stop for a few days to pick up again. Starts quickly, even in the cold because of the gel battery I installed. Interior is super clean...most of the carpet has never been stepped on.The seats are also in perfect condition...no rips or tears, and very,very clean.The Bad..The clock as I mentioned doesnt work all the time,the rear window crank handles are missing, small dents on some of the fenders, and small dent under the body,behind the passenger front wheel, probably due to a misplaced jack. Also I have noticed one or two drops of oil per month on the garage floor. No other fluids ever noticed. Please note I have tried to descibe this vehicle as accurately as possible. It is one of the finer 81 Rabbits available,especially with the low,low miles, but it still is 31 years old. The car is being sold as is, with no warranty.
