Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This is a rare 1971 Roadrunner (1/137 with power windows) with HP 383 engine (not numbers matching) slap stick auto in center console which was driven for 1 hour 1 day before this ad posting. Three 10 second videos of the car cranking and accelerating past the photographer are available on request (10 meg each). This car was 90% restored when the previous owner had an extended illness that caused the car to be parked for a couple of years during which the paint oxidized and the down LT front window let moisture/rain into the car for a while when its cover would blow off. The interior trim, door hand handles, visors, door panels, antenna, seat belts and a box of extra parts are included!! The Good -No oil, rear end, or transmission leaks -Cranks in 1-2 turns and idles smooth (see on video) -No smoking or oil use-front bumper chrome good - engine strong and cranks quick -minimal rust in exterior panels -New interior seat covers good -Wheel trim, kick plates, door panels and hardware present -Headliner ok -Jack and foot plate present -Suspension tight and handles well -includes a 383 that came with the car, said to be the original engine. It turns. Don’t know why was replaced. The Bad -About 15-20 pinholes floor pans as shown but still solid to the kick or fist. -Oxidized paint exterior -Spoiler needs repainting -Tach and radio present but don’t know when they worked last or why -No broadcast sheet. -AC turns – don’t know its operational ability. All components present. -Wheel well trim fairly beat up. -Rt front window motor broken. Switches for windows, glass, and all gears present. -fender plate removed for “safe keeping” during restoration and can not be located. I have the codes for the car in paperwork from the previous owner. (E65 a87 b11 c16 c55 g11 g36 h51 j25 j45 j31 m21 n41 p31 r11 v21) -LT front tire has sidewall modest gash from lawnmower (will need replaced) - Needs new carpet -Rear bumper needs chromed---------------------------------------- I have represented this car to the best of my knowledge. This car is available for inspection and I reserve the right to end bidding while below the reserve for a local purchaser. If you would like a compressed file of 40 some pictures in a self expanding zip file (10.6 meg) and the 3 videos mentioned above, I will email in 4 separate emails to allow for mailbox limits. Contact Vance1969@aol.com. Title the email “roadrunner” so it does not get overlooked as junk mail. I usually check emails late each evening, eastern. This car is located in Dillon, SC and is now in my garage. Title in hand.
