Vehicle Detail
Barn find X55 SS Convertible. No reserve,NO trades,NO offers to buy early! Will be sold to last bid! NO zero feedback bidders! Will need a complete restoration. Vehicle is a genuine X55 SS. Car was original (rare) burgundy in color with white top and interior. Original options include, and are still with car. Everything is original to car when new. 12 bolt (non posi) Tach and console gauge package, power disc brakes,SS rally wheels. Will need quarter panels, rear inner/outer wheel wells, complete floor and trunk pan, deck lid and spoiler, rear tail panel. Left shock tower looks good. Right shock tower has definite signs of rust. Frame rails look solid, but I recommend changing to compliment the rest. Rockers are solid. Fenders and doors will need lower patch repair,or change if you want. Hood is nice. Engine told ran fine when parked. Trans is original. Engine I believe is a later 74 350. Engine turns over if you need to know. Main header bow on top looks and feels solid. All glass is fine. Ask any and all questions prior to auctions end. $500 NON-refundable paypal payment due immediately following auctions end. Remaining balance due 5 days after. Certified funds only. Wire transfers, cash,us postal M/O. Cashiers checks will have to wait until cleared before car leaves. You are responsible for all shipping, and or picking up. Car can stay for a reasonable amount of time until picked up. If you can't meet the terms of auction, then please don't bid. Thanks!!On Jan-18-12 at 15:28:33 PST, seller added the following information: To answer a couple popular questions.. I've owned car for almost 2 years. Just don't have time for it. Prior to that, car had been stored since 1990. Many questions regarding body area's i've suggested to replace,or need. Sorry, but I won't say..you can get away with, just doing this,or that. The car is beyond worthy of no corners cut . First off..How many TRUE SS convertibles do you come across?? X55 clearly defines that! Only 1 out of 10 X11 cars were true ss. Even less being convertible. Then top it off with original burgundy in color with white interior. Only 2 percent of 69 camaros were burgundy. And again..much less being convertible. All said...This camaro pretty much stands alone for it's rarity. I've included a pic,to represent what this cars original appearance was,and is. Anyway..Lot of work here, but more than worth it. On Jan-18-12 at 16:16:13 PST, seller added the following information: And yes,all 4 cocktail shakers are in place. One more true SS FACT. All true SS cars had dual exhaust. So a for sure clue,is there would factory tail pipe hangers. both installed on the left and right rear frame rails. Which this does, but just letting you know for future reference.
