Vehicle Detail
This is a beautifully restored 1973 Triumph GT6 Mark 3, the last year for this 2 Liter, 6 cylinder British sports car. The color is Pimento (a reddish-orange) with a Chestnut brown cloth and vinyl interior. Mileage is 79,899. I have owned the car for 6 years and it was restored by a member of our local British car club. The car is in excellent condition inside and out. There is absolutely no rust whatsoever. The body, interior, and even the engine bay are in pristine condition. Everything works. The car was entered in the 2005 Vintage Triumph Register national convention concours in Rockford, IL, and scored 358.5 out of 400 possible points, qualifying it for First Place and a Gold level award. Deviations from stock include an Allison electronic ignition system replacing the points and condenser, the addition of an oil pressure gauge under the dash, and a modern radio/CD player with 4 speakers. The car runs and drives beautifully with very good oil pressure, 50 lbs. when warm at speed. There are no mechanical “issues” with the car. It does leak a small amount of oil when sitting, as all British cars do, much less than any of my 5 other British cars. The car does not have overdrive. The tires are Kumho 795 Touring A/S P165/80R13 and look new with nearly full tread depth, but are about 5 years old. The radio/CD player is a Sony with Alpine front and Pioneer rear 2-way speakers. So, why am I selling the car? In the 6 years I have owned the car I have only driven it 3415 miles. I have 5 other British cars and, frankly, don’t get to drive any single car as much as I would like. It’s time for someone else to enjoy this one. Also, I recently purchased a 1973 MGB-GT and that car fits my 6’1” 195 pound body better than the GT6, so I’m selling the Triumph. If you want what is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, GT6s there is, this is the car for you. I have set a fairly high starting bid, but no reserve, so if you want this car you can buy it. Please check my eBay rating. I have bought and sold several cars on eBay and have a 100% positive rating. The winning bidder is to contact me and send a nonrefundable $500.00 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours. The balance is to be paid via PayPal within 10 days. The car is sold as is with no warranty express or implied. The buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping from Nebraska. Thanks for bidding!
